What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding Picture Quality I purchased this newly released 65C8PUA along with the SK10Y sound bar. The SK10Y does not recognize an HMDI ARC connection, scans and returns to the factory optical setting. The sound out option on the 65C8PUA provides for an auto sound and PCM option. Auto sound greatly reduces volume, presence and brilliance, providing extremely poor quality. The PCM setting appears to capitalize on the sound bar's caability. These glitches were duplicated in store and observed by the LG Area Representative. I assume they will be resolved with forthcoming software updates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than c7 but lost some settings Took delivery last week, while calibrating i noticed 2 key settings i have used in pervious models was the edge enhancer & vert/horz sharpness controls.I miss those because i like good sharp edges to the image, without at least the edge enhancer the image is a little softer.I use the expert pix mode for best pix, I'm in a small percentage that demands the sharpest most detailed pix.Hope a firmware update could bring back those settings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My New LG 4K Incredible 4K quality, and love the features but I am currently disappointed at the audio lag time I am experiencing. A lip sync type of issue. Even more disappointing is the fact that I am not getting any help from store I bought it from, almost a hands off approach at this point. Reading online I am discovering there are multiple issues with LG and lip syncing problems. Wish I would’ve known this before I purchased. Hopefully LG is aware and is trying to come up with a solution. Very frustrating...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2017_2.0 In terms of processing and picture quality, its not a lot better than the 2017 model. Its slightly better picture performance. The smart tv and UI features are improved over previous models. The AI is very quick to respond over previous generations, and the compatibility to other smart systems (lights, security, etc) is awesome. This is the tv to beat all TVs.

Is there any way to skype, FaceTime or video chat on the c8? I’m guessing we need an external camera (can you recommend a compatible one?) and an app. Please advise on the best setup!

Will this tv have hdmi version 2.0b? Also, if it does, will there be an upgrade later so that it can take advantage of eARC? That way the tv would pass thru lossless audio, dolby truehd and dts:x, thru the return channel over hdmi back to a receiver.
