The hottest thing in cold clean

Using the cold cycle on your washer doesn’t have to mean compromising. ColdWash™ technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to penetrate deep into fabrics, giving you cold water savings with warm water performance.

Catch the wave

If you thought water had done all it could to clean your clothes, you haven't experienced WaveForce™ technology. Rapid drum movement and powerful water jets provide a revolutionary washing and rinsing experience.

Get wise

Get wise

If you ever experience an issue with your LG washer, you don't have to worry. The SmartDiagnosis™ feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a simple app on your smart phone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

Count on it

When you buy a washer, you want something reliable that you can count on. Because the Direct Drive Motor uses fewer moving parts and operates more efficiently, LG confidently backs the motor with a 10-year limited warranty.

Wash in peace

You shouldn’t know your washer is on when you're in the next room. The LG TrueBalance™ anti-vibration system is designed to minimize washer noise and vibration for smooth, quiet performance in any room of the house - even on the 2nd floor.

Save money. Save energy.

Save money. Save energy.

When your washer uses about 30% less energy and half the amount of water used by regular washers, you’re going to make an impact—on your utility bills, your energy and water consumption, and most importantly, the environment.

What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from AWFUL washing machine I have tried to like this washing machine but now I have to admit it's the worst purchase I ever made! It is horribly rough on my clothes, doesn't even get them clean and now I'm saving to replace it. I'm really surprised because I have liked other LG products - but this washer is a joke! When you wash towels or bedding, the items are so tightly wound up in each other that you can hardly remove them to the dryer. I also expected not to have to worry about the washer holding on to water in the bottom of the machine since it's a top loader, but that is also NOT the case. I always have to wipe out the machine after using it so as not to have a funky smell in the washer since there is often visible water in the bottom of the machine. I've never had a problem with any other washing machine I've owned over the years but this machine should go out to the junk even though it's only 6 months old. I absolutely HATE it! You will be very sorry if you buy this machine! Trust me!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst appliance I've every owned I bought this as part of a set -- the dryer works great, but the washer is a piece of junk. As I write this, it is again on the third hour of a load of towels caused by numerous unbalanced load alarms, which cause the cycle to completely start over. A technician came out to fix this as it was a known problem, but if anything, it's worse now. If I could get it out of the house, I'd kick it to the curb!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design flaw as this washer becomes unbalanced EZ Loads big or small will display the dreaded UE error and stop. This washer is garbage. When it works it is great but many reviews complain of this same issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pump leaking at 16 months Was 1 year in June and just flooded our laundry room (16 mos. old). Appears to have a leak in the pump. Extremely disappointed in the cheap materials that would allow this to happen just over a year. Checked for coins or some "cause" for the leak, but honestly I'm pretty diligent with checking pockets and would have been surprised to find anything...which I did not. Not a cheap product. Will never buy another.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Garbage Cycles are extraordinarily long. Washer becomes unbalanced at the drop of a hat. Clothes are not cleaned. Speed cycle leaves tiny holes in clothing after a number of uses. If I could haul this piece of junk to the curb and let someone steal it I would. I have never had such a bad appliance.

Where is the bleach dispenser on an lg he top loader?

Asked by: me111112222221222222
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine. According to the owner’s manual, the bleach container is located at the front, left corner, once the lid has lifted.

I have had my washer since 2012* it is just starting to have a sour smell to it. I ran bleach through it on TUB CLEAN cycle. It still smells sour and is overwhelming........Help?

Asked by: JennaJo
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. It may be suggested to use the TUB CLEAN cycle with vinegar, rather than with bleach. This may help the matter. It might also be suggested to attempt using AFRESH tablets during the Tub Clean cycle.

My washer agitator is not working .

Why does this washer become unbalanced at the drop of a hat?  Is there anything that can be adjusted for this?  It is a VERY common problem/complaint with this model as you can see in the review on your site.

Asked by: wilsjay
Other than an uneven weight distribution of the load in the LG 4.7 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity High Efficiency Top Load Washer with WaveForce™, Model # WT5070CW that will cause the machine to become unbalanced "at the drop of a hat" as you have described, if the tub is not in the correct position, the machine will also give you an unbalanced error code. To see if your tub is in the correct position, open the lid and look inside the machine to check if the tub is in the correct position. Check to see if the plastic guard is more exposed on one side more than the other. If it is, raise the side to which the washer is leaning. To make sure that your washer is level, you can put a spirit level on the lid...^IFV

How can I get more water in the washer, 2" is not enough.  I am on the 3rd wash on a load of soiled hiking pants.  The meager water at the bottom of the tub is still filthy.  I press & hold the add water button for every single load, but doesnt help

Asked by: Kaladigirl
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. The ADD WATER button is not designed to be held down for adding more water. For this cycle, unless the fabric care labels say otherwise, you might try the HEAVY DUTY cycle, with a HEAVY setting on the SOIL LEVEL, then press the EXTRA RINSE button for 3 seconds, until the WATER PLUS option activates. The SOAK option can also be used with this cycle.

Does not play signal when wash is complete..I've turned it off and on still nothing what do I need to do?

Asked by: TooFine
Unplugging the LG 4.7 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity High Efficiency Top Load Washer with WaveForce™, Model # WT5070CW will reset the washer, but the Child Lock button is also the SIGNAL OFF-LOW-HIGH button, check that it was not inadvertently turned off. If that is not the case, the unit may need a repair service...^IFV

How much bedding can you wash at once safely?

Asked by: Krome
We appreciate your interest in this washing machine and its capabilities. The amount of bedding that can be washed at any one time will depend greatly upon the individual bedding set. The size and thickness of the different components can vary between sets, causing different amounts to be used.

What is wrong with my washer?

Recently I've loaded small-large oads in my washer and each time when it begins to spin it makes a very load sound as if metal was scraping against other metal.
Asked by: CaramelMountains
There was a coin in mine on the bottom where it rotates and the sides of the tub meet. I was able to get the coin out and it worked afterwards. If there is a coin in there it won't spin either. I hope this helps.
