[LG Reader Mode] and [Night Light] are features that reduce the brightness of your PC screen
and make the colors warmer.
These effects help to reduce eye strain when reading text on the screen.
Your screen may look a little yellowish if Reader Mode or Night Light is enabled.
Causes
- [Reader Mode] is turned on.
- [Night Light] is turned on.
- The display color temperature is set too warm.

How to turn off [Night light]
➔ Go to Windows settings and turn off the [Night light] feature.
① Use the Windows search bar to find the [Night light] settings.
② In the Night Light settings, click the [Turn Off Now] button to disable the feature.
※ You can also find the setting by using keyboard hotkeys: Press [Windows] + [I] → [Windows Settings] → [System] → [Display] → [Night Light].
How to turn off [Reader Mode]
Color distortion may occur if both Reader Mode and Night Light are turned on.
※ It is advised to use only one of the modes at a time.
➔ Models released from 2025 onward: Turn off Reader Mode on My gram app
Enter [My gram] in the Windows search bar and run the My gram app.
Click the [PC Maintenance] tab – [Display] – Turn off [Reader Mode].
➔ Models released after 2022: Turn off Reader Mode on LG Smart Assistant app
Enter [LG Smart Assistant] in the Windows search bar and run the app.
Navigate to [Display Settings] and turn off Reader Mode.
➔ Models released before 2022:
Locate and click the arrow icon []
on the bottom right of the taskbar.
Click the []
icon and set Reader Mode to OFF.
Check the color temperature setting
➔ Models released from 2025 onward: Adjust setting on My gram app
Use the Windows search bar to find and open the [My gram] app.
Navigate to [PC Maintenance] – [Display] – Adjust the [Color Temperature Setting] to the center.
➔ Models released after 2022: Adjust the setting using LG Smart Assistant app
Enter [LG Smart Assistant] in the Windows search bar and run the app.
Go to [Display settings] and adjust the [Color Temperature] to the center.
➔ Models released before 2022: Adjust the setting using LG Control Center app
Enter [LG Control Center] in the Windows search bar and run the app.
Go to [Color temperature settings] – Adjust the color [Colder] or [Warmer].
White screens may appear slightly yellowish or reddish because of the color temperature setting.
※ Laptop models without WindowsOS may not support LG Reader Mode or Night Light.
