Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice AC unit My old unit in our garage apartment went out at the start of this Texas heat wave a month ago. Bought this unit and the LG wall sleeve separately (the instructions for the wall sleeve were lacking and added frustration to this install but that’s a different review I guess). Had to do some modifications to the wall due to the old unit being rather large comparatively to the LG unit but the unit itself was pretty straight forward to install with a little confusion with the instructions based on which sleeve you were using. Only took about 30 minutes to cool down the whole apartment from the 115 + Temps.

Do you sell 12,000 btu wall a/c with heat unit with inverter? Or if you dont sell them with the inverter what units do you sell that are quiet with same btu?

Regrettably, we do not sell any 12,000 BTU DUAL Inverter Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Through-the-Wall Air Conditioners with Heat. The LG 12,000 BTU DUAL Inverter Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1222IVSM is the only Air Conditioner that we have with a 12,000 BTU, but it only cools and it is not a Thorugh-the-Wall unit. We do not have any 12,000 BTU Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, but we do have an LG 11,200 BTU 230v Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, Model # LT1237HNR that has a dBA Level (Indoor / Outdoor) of 59/65...^Ivan

I need to install a/c in a sleeve under my window. Is that a through-the-wall model?

As indicated in its title, the 10,000 BTU 230v Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, Model # LT1037HNR is a through-the-wall model and you will need the LG Thru-the-Wall Air Conditioner 26'' Wall Sleeve, Model # AXSVA! with the LG Thru-the-Wall Air Conditioner Architectural Grille, Model # AXGRGALA01 or the LG Thru-the-Wall Air Conditioner Wall Sleeve with Stamped Aluminum Grille, Model # AXSVA4...^Ivan

Which LG Sleeve are you referring to? You have not given a model number for the sleeve in question. The specification sheet for the LG 10,000 BTU 230v Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, Model # LT1037HNR lists the OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES (Sold separately) for this Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat as the Wall Sleeve Model # AXSVA1, Wall Sleeve with Stamped Aluminum Grille Model # AXSVA4, and Stamped Aluminum Grille Model # AXRGALA01...^Ivan

When will LG upgrade their Thru Wall untis? The Window AC units by LG are now offering wifi/alexa etc... also have dual inverters and more available units that don't need 230v

LG has not made any public official announcements about when or if they will be upgrading our Thru the Wall Air conditioners. As for Wi-Fi-enabled Thru the Wall Air conditioners, that may not be feasible since thru the wall air conditioners have to be placed in wall sleeves which would block any Wi-Fi signals, and some building materials are also known to block Wi-Fi signals...^Ivan

Can a/c wall unit freon be recharged if not as cool as it was?

The LG 10,000 BTU 230v Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, Model # LT1037HNR does not use Freon. Because HCFC-22 (also called R-22 refrigerant is also known as Freon) depletes the ozone layer, production and import was further limited in 2010 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and in 2020, was no longer being produced or imported. This air conditioner uses the ozone-friendly refrigerant, R410A which is is manufactured and sold under various trade names, including GENTRON AZ-20®, SUVA® 410A, and PURON®. It has to be refilled very carefully as it can cause frostbite if any part of your body is exposed to it...^IFV

The inlet grill vibrates when compressor starts. New unit.

We regret to read that the inlet grille on your new LG 10,000 BTU 230v Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner with Heat, Model # LT1037HNR vibrates when the compressor kicks on and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Check to make sure that the inlet grille is securely closed otherwise the unit would need to be inspected to determine what is causing it to vibrate. It might have been damaged duiring transportation...^IFV

Our new unit cuts off completely in heat mode and doesn't come back on unless we raise the temperature setting above a 5 degree difference. Shouldn't the fan run continuously and why would the unit not come back on after a drop of 1 or 2 degrees?
