What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking Forward To A Hot Summer Got this on my birthday for my small workshop. I really like to work in my small shop making things out of wood. Last summer here in Texas it gets really hot and when it's like that I can't work in my shop. I tried fans and that didn't work. So, I insulated my little shop and bought an air conditioner for it. Now, I am looking forward to summer in my workshop. I can't use the WIFI function of my new LG air conditioner because I don't have it. I am happy with the remote that came with it. Will post another review later when I give it a good workout. Oh! I can't believe how quiet it is! I also have a friend who purchased this model over a year ago and loves it. That was another deciding factor in purchasing this model and brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I wanted it to do I bought this unit to quickly cool down a 1200 cu.ft. space. It does the job rapidly and efficiently, even in Energy Saver mode. The main user of the room is happy enough with the supplied remote control that I have not felt the need to connect the unit to our household WiFi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but. I like the unit over all but when the compressor goes on the door unit get louder some kind of vibration. If this could be fixed it would be a perfect unit but it seems to be a design flaw.

where is the electrical chord on the LG LW1217ERSM? Please show.

Asked by: RPSC2020
The power cord for the LG 12,000 BTU Smart wi-fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1217ERSM and for any of our air conditioners will always exit the cabinet from the lower side corner on the same side that the control panel is on (lower right side for this unit). On the product information page for the air conditioner on our site, there are navigation arrows on either side of the main image. Use the right navigation arrow to scroll to the 4th and 5th images that show the side of the unit and you will notice a small black square on the air conditioners cabinet. That is where the power cord exits...^IFV

I was just wondering if my unit would warm a room on a cool nite outside? And also can you briefly explain what dry air control is for? Thank you

Asked by: Pat7428
Your LG 12,000 BTU Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1217ERSM does not have any heating capacity, it only cools. Regrettably, we are not sure of your inquiry about 'Dry Air Control" unless you are inquiring about what Dry Air Flow is? The Dry Air Flow of 265 listed for the product in CFM (cubic feet per minute) is the velocity at which air flows out of the air conditioner...^IFV

I'm looking for a 12,000 BTU air conditioner with no styrofoam inside. Is this such a model?

Asked by: GussieDog
The styrofoam is installed to prevent sweating in the interior of the air conditioner and also as a means for light support for interior components reducing the weight of the LG 12,000 BTU Smart wi-fi Enabled Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW1217ERSM. Regrettably, we do not have any Air Conditioners with that BTU rating or others that do not feature styrofoam in them...^IFV

My LW1217ERSM A/C was just installed. When I look into the machine through the top vents, I see a part (a tube?) that looks like it's covered in cellophane. What is this? And is the cellophane still supposed to be there?

The A/C was installed 3 days ago. How do I open/close the vent? I can't adjust the lever and I can't tell if the vent is closed or open. The lever doesn't move at all when I pull on it or push it in.

HOW DO I REMOVE THE GRILL? When the AC was installed, a step was skipped, the VENT CONTROL LEVER was not pulled out. Now I cannot adjust it and I can not determine whether it is open. (I did not do the installing; that was done by a professional.)
