Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting the job done I’ve never had to use a window unit before but I needed one after moving into an older cottage style home. I spent a week looking at different models, reading reviews, and comparing prices. After speaking with a friend who does property maintenance, I went with the LG. It’s been in about two weeks and it has made a significant change in the temp of the upstairs. There’s are two small bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom and I can feel a difference from the time before and after the unit was installed. I purchased a unit with 6000 BTUs and this is sufficient to keep my bedroom cold and it reaches down to the other room to keep it cooler. It’s also an energy efficient model which was important to me.

Does this unit include side panels? if so... What is the maximum extension width of the panels? Thank you.

The LG 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW6017R comes with two guide panels that have curtains attached to them that can be extended to the maximum window opening of 35". Since the cabinet has a width of 17 5/16", that means each curtain can be extended by a maximum of 8 27/32"...^IFV

How to turn off filter light after cleaning the filter?

The Clean Filter LED will light up to notify you that your filter needs to be cleaned. After cleaning the filter, press the temp up and down buttons together to turn off the Clean Filter light. Filter reset must be done from the unit's control panel not the remote control. ^CP

y run this units on a honda eu2000i inverter generatos in economy and verly reb up it puls bouth 1000 wat for one or two seconds and continues on 520 wat continiusly

The unit has a power consumption of 520 watts per hour (i.e. 0.52 kWh). Check your utility bill to see what your utility company charges you per kWh and use that to calculate how much it will cost you to run this unit for 12 hours a day...^IFV

Hello, the LW6017R is a window A/C unit and can not be installed in the wall. For a wall unit, the smallest we have is the LT0816CER. ^AC
