Rated 1 out of 5 by from DVD-RW won't write I bought this DVD-RW to replace one that quit working. I plugged it into the same MB slot and powered it up, and it will only show up as DVD RAM. Nothing I do will make this drive an RW drive. There are no updates for it - I have the most recent driver. So frustrating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SATA interface Bought this to upgrade to SATA interface. Old drive was IDE. Works great. Had to turn the cable around because one end is for the drive and the other is for the motherboard. Did not know this. The drive did not work until I fixed this.

Will the LG GH24NSC0B with "M-Disc Support" write to a M-Disc? I need to make sure I can archive several files for my future great-great grand children. Other M-Disc Burners seem to cost 4x more.

The specs say the depth of this drive (GH24NSC0B) is 153mm. Is that accurate? The measurement from the face of the drive to the backplane where you plug in the SATA cable is 153mm? I need a drive that is less than 155mm so the measurement is important.

The specifications for the LG Internal 24x Super Multi with M-DISC™ Support, Model # GH24NSC0B do list the depth as 153mm (6.02") which is the measurement from the face to the part that protrudes the most in the back of the unit...^IFV
