Does GP65NB60 support CD-Text when burning Audio CD's? I've tried using CD-Text when using software that supports CD-Text but the text does not show up on the burned CD. Thanks in advance!

Asked by: Leecha
What unit are you using to playback your burnt CDs on where the text is not showing up after burning audio CDs in the LG Ultra-Slim Portable DVD Burner & Drive with M-DISC™ Support, Model # GP65NB60? Not every CD player will read this metadata; most computer-based CD players do not. Just because the names of the tracks are not showing up on the computer screen does not mean the CD-Text is not on your disc. Programs like iTunes or Windows Media Player use external internet-based databases to get information about the CD in the player. iTunes uses the Gracenote CDDB and Windows Media Player uses the All Music Guide. If your computer is not connected to the internet or behind a firewall preventing a connection to these databases, there is no way for the players to display the titles, artist, etc. . . Third, your CD must be in the database for it to be found...^Ivan

Mine didn't come with a book and I plugged it in but can't even open it. Nothing even comes up on my surface pro telling me that I can connect it. Help

Asked by: Diney 57
The LG Ultra-Slim Portable DVD Burner & Drive with M-DISC™ Support, Model # GP65NB60 connects to a computer or TV via its mini USB port but the USB port on the device that you are connecting it to has to have enough power to power the drive since it gets its power from the PC/Laptop's USB Power. The drive has an LED indicator on it that will show if it is getting power or not. If the LED indicator is not lighting up, that means the USB port on your Surface Pro does not have the power to supply to the drive. You may want to review the specifications for your Surface Pro or contact Microsoft for assistance. You can visit our support page for the drive on our site & click on Support > Manuals and Downloads >Manuals & Documents > Owner'smanual where you can download and print out a PDF copy of the owner's manual for the drive...^Ivan
