Rated 1 out of 5 by from Already had to reset breaker after a few days!!! We bought the unit on 12/30/19 but finally got it installed by Best Buy this past Saturday on 1/18/20. We had an electrician install new 6/3 gauge wire and 50 amp breaker per installation guide to make sure there was no issues. Now after just a few days we could not turn off the unit. It became unresponsive while it was still on!!! I had to reset the unit by flipping the breaker off/on. The user guide has no troubleshooting for if the unit touch screen buttons do not respond. This is super disappointing after spending $2000 for the cooktop and electrician!! And off course now that it is installed it is showing in our BestBuy account that it is none returnable! Buyer beware! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for about 3 minutes Not even sure where to start. Bought this unit in November. For us to use it we have to go outside and reset the breaker because it decides when it wants to work, which is usually every other day. We've had a service tech come out and now has replaced the same exact part twice. What's crazy...LG wants to replace it for a third time. 5 service tech calls, 5 times we've had to take off early, 5 times it failed to work. Tonight they cancelled. After we waited all afternoon for them. I'm 42 years old, and have never left an online complaint before. Thought they were just oversensitive people. Well, I see where they are coming from. The absolute worst experience I've ever dealt with. Sad part is that I bought a fridge and dishwasher at the same time. Lord, there isn't enough alcohol on the planet for me to have one of those break and me deal with the LG people all over again. As of Jan 14, 2020, we still can't use our cook top and no end in sight. Easy to say no one I know will ever buy LG again. If this goes on too much longer, I'm going Office Space on this thing and will bow out to the LG giant that they are. They win...they got my money....My sanity is worth more than this $800 piece of junk.

Brand new stove top (warrantied) started beeping every minute until it shuts completely off. This occurred 4 days after installation. I have been dealing with the warranty company for 4 months now, 4 service calls, and 3 main parts later. Still not fixed.

In the picture the turn on and off "knobs" are red ...are they always red, or is the picture showing the cook top in an "on" position?..

On the LG 30 in. Smooth Surface Electric Cooktop in Black with 5 Elements, Model # LCE3010SB, at a quick glance, the centralized electronic controls allow users to see that the controls are activated. The cooktop has a residual heat indicator for each Cooking Zone. This indicator will warn that this area has been used and is still giving off enough heat to cause burns. Avoid touching the Cooking Zone when this indicator is shown. Although the cooktop is OFF, the light will stay lit until the cooktop has cooled down...^IFV

can this be installed over a wall oven?

The LG 30'' Electric Cooktop, Model # LCE3010SB can be installed above a wall oven and must have a minimum clearance space of 2 3/4" (70mm) between the cooktop and the oven...^IFV

Sometimes we can hear a light fan noise. Didn't notice it until recently. It goes away when we turn it off. The fan noise comes back again after a few minutes when we turn it back on. Is this an indicator of a problem with the cooktop?

I have the LCE3610SB and am having trouble with three burners.  Burners check ok but will not energize.  Have checked the  resistance on all burners. All are within range. Burners effected are front and rear left and right rear.  The two large work. Help!

The Child lock was not activated and the stove top would not turn on. We unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started working properly after that. What caused this to lock up?

How do you cook on all burners at once with different settings?

Each burner element on the LG 30" Electric Cooktop, Model # LCE3010SB has its own touch control that you can use to select the element power setting for. To select the desired cooking zone and the display for the selected cooking zone will light and the power level indicator lights will start blinking. You then have 10 seconds to select the power level with the Element power settings otherwise the cooking zone will turn itself off for safety...^IFV
