Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this stove and double oven! I have always had very roomy kitchens with double wall ovens and separate cooktops, so, naturally anyone could understand my hesitation when putting the two ovens w/the stove top combined in my remodel. However, this works as well as my separate wall double ovens with the separate cooktops in the past. This top cleans easily and still looks like new, and I USE THE COOKTOP DAILY. I do love the double oven, and, the top oven, while smaller, functions very nicely as a real oven, not a 'pizza oven' as some other manufacturers have in their combo ovens. Regarding the two convection settings on the lower oven: both 'convection roast' and 'convection bake' function extremely well and are more than just terms. A turkey, in the lower oven with the 'convection roast' setting, cooked in 1/2 the time! The 'proof' setting for the lower oven works well too, as a 'proofing' oven should. In short, I love this stove - oh - and as a bonus, the upper oven can work as 'infrared grill'! This setting complements the overall functionality of this product. It couldn't get any better than this, could it? Oh, maybe have someone in to cook it all for me!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from greatest luxury to have 2 stoves in one Love this stove and love how we don't have to heat up an entire stove to heat up a small meal. We've had this stove for almost 2 years and the back screen cracked (it's plastic). It split right down where the time displays. Figures this happens after the warranty but I should have know better knowing it was plastic. Can't wait to see how much and even if there's a replacement part to fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from double oven I am single and I did not think I would use two ovens at once, yet I was wrong. I love the flexible way using two oven allows me to expand my cooking. I have been cooking for forty years and never used the broil section because I didn't like cleaning the oven and believed broiling wasted energy in a big oven. With my LG oven, I now cook four times a week, using the broil feature. I love the convenience on using the broil on top in the small oven. In the morning, I cook steak and eggs with biscuits using both ovens. Breakfast is a snap to cook; fast and easy with my LG range.

How do you clean the glass on the doors of the LG smooth double oven range

Asked by: Cruss
According to pg. 42 of the owner's manual, you would use soap and water to thoroughly clean the top, sides, and front of the oven door. Rinse well. You may use a glass cleaner on the outside glass of the oven door. DO NOT immerse the door in water. DO NOT spray or allow water or the glass cleaner to enter the door vents. DO NOT use oven cleaners, cleaning powders, or any harsh abrasive cleaning materials on the outside of the oven door. DO NOT clean the oven door gasket. The oven door gasket is made of a woven material which is essential for a good seal. Care should be taken not to rub, damage, or remove this gasket.

How to move

We are installing back splash tile and need to move range away from wall temporarily. Please advise the best way to move.
Asked by: DACI
We appreciate your interest in this range. The removal of the range will depend upon how it was installed. All that SHOULD be required is to slide the range forward, out of the anti-tip bracket.

just ordered LDE3017SB to be delivered in 2 wks, reviews talk about venting? is this something I need to worry about is it done @delivery

nothing was mentioned at store?
Asked by: ORJAC
We regret the uncertainty caused by this matter. The oven does have a heat vent, but it vents onto the cooktop surface. The vents are located under the control panel/display. Areas near the vent may become hot during oven operations and may cause burns. Do NOT block the vent opening. Avoid placing plastics near the vent as heat may distort or melt the plastic. It is normal for steam to be visible when cooking foods with high moisture.

Where can I purchase touch up paint for the stainless steel on the oven door?

I have a small pen point sized nick at the very bottom of the lower door, unfortunately, and I would like to repair it. Thank you.
Asked by: DeniseK
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this electric range. Unfortunately, we have no touch up paint available for stainless steel surfaces, nor that can withstand the temperatures achieved by an oven.

Can I use a griddle that covers 2 elements on my new LDE3017ST? How about a griddle that just covers one element?

Asked by: Southerncook
I apologize, but no; according to page 14 of the owner’s manual, do not use non-flat specialty items that are oversized or uneven such as round bottom woks, ripple bottom, and or oversized canners and griddles.

Is it recommended to use a surge protector for this oven?

I love that it's all electric and touch but I worry that this also makes it more susceptible to power surge spikes. I want the cooking to stay inside oven not display board.. If it does need one does lg make one big enough? Thanks Jason
Asked by: useprotection
We appreciate your interest in this electric range. We do not have any recommendations available regarding surge suppressors for appliances. LG does not make any such devices.
