Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just over a year old and the oven quit working! Bought this stove in December 2019 and the oven has already quit working! Very unhappy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TRUE LOVE UNTIL SHE BROKE MY HEART! We purchased a complete LG black stainless kitchen- this stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher- about a year and a half ago. Two weeks after our purchase, the black stainless finish on the refrigerator started to flake off, and LG does not provide service for finish problems, so we had to live with that. BUT we couldn’t live with what the oven decided to do. I do not use the oven often, but loved it when I did. The convection oven bakes and roasts your meals to perfection. The gorgeous blue interior was actually what made us decide to go with LG for all of our appliances. And it ended up being the stove’s downfall. After running the self cleaning feature for only the second time, I took damp paper towels and started to wipe down the bottom of the oven to remove the remaining white ash residue, when I could hear and feel something scraping beneath the damp paper towel. When I lifted the paper towel, there were several shards of the beautiful blue enamel in the paper. Upon investigation we discovered that the blue enamel had cracked and flaked off from the front center of the oven, right below where the door hinges. LG did offer us a full refund even though we were well out of warranty, which we gratefully accepted. But we will have to buy a replacement stove now because the oven is leaking heat into the kitchen. Will it be an LG. Definitely. Will it have a blue interior? Probably not.

What is the difference between slide in @ d free standing

Asked by: Puppet girl
Freestanding ranges feature finished sides that allow them to be installed between cabinets or on their own, making them a flexible choice for most kitchens. However, freestanding ranges may not be the best fit for kitchen islands. The main difference between freestanding and slide-in ranges is installation. While freestanding ranges can stand alone or be installed between cabinets, slide-in ranges are specifically designed to sit between cabinets for a seamless look. Because of this, slide-in ranges have unfinished sides that make them ill-suited for standalone installation. The configuration is also different – controls for slide-in ranges are usually located on the top or front of the appliance. Slide-in ranges also lack a backguard, which is why many homeowners install tile behind the range if they are placing it against a wall. Slide-in ranges are not installed directly against a wall, sitting a few inches away from it. Because of this, there is usually a few inches of countertop space that wraps around the back of the cooktop. If you swap out your slide-in range for a freestanding model, you will need to update your countertop configuration to accommodate it. You’ll need to prepare to fill in a two-inch gap (or larger) if you’re trading in a freestanding range for a slide-in model. You’ll also need to update the wall behind your range so it’s immune to steam, water and stains...^IFV

Asked by: Licksa
There is no functional purpose for the bright blue interior for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Electric Single Oven Range with True Convection and EasyClean®, Model # LRE3194ST or in other high-end range ovens other than that it is aesthetically more pleasing than the dark grey interiors and that it gives the oven a high-end appearance. It is just a style design and the bright blue interior reflects light better...^IFV

Why does the fan work in both bake a convection modes?

Asked by: Gijeff58
It is normal for the convection fan to operate periodically throughout a normal bake cycle in the oven. This is to ensure even baking results.
