What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful features Previously, I had a duel fuel oven with convection ..but when we moved to a retirement community they provided us with a cheap electric oven that burned baked items. I was allowed to purchase a new oven..This is the first time I have had an induction stove top and I love it..I wish that I had known about induction cooking years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great My LG range (LSE4616BD) was delivered a couple of weeks ago. I've used both the range and the oven numerous times since. On "Bake", I've found I had to leave some things in longer than recipes called for. On "convection", the cooking time is a bit shorter. Everything has turned out perfect. The induction range is amazing when it comes to heating water (or anything else). So quick. The "extension" that attaches to the back of the range (to cover gaps between range & countertop) is a little weird. We raised the range so the extension would sit on the counter top. There were no written instructions on how the extension should work, so assuming we did the correct thing. Had they made the back of the range flat, the extension piece would not be needed and it would have been better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best buy decisions you can make I spent a lot of effort researching ranges over the Black Friday sales period. I looked at Gas and Induction. Standard electric is not on my list. I have always in the past gone for gas ranges and I could have again but decided to take a serious look at induction. After reading about the ranges and watching videos of gas versus induction, I decided on induction. Of the induction ranges I looked at this one had the features I desired. I did not want touch up/down for all the burners. This one has dials. It also has a heat settings LED indicator by every burner. It also offered a great oven. It took over a month to have this stove delivered but it was worth the wait. It has exceeded my expectations. Fast heating and near instantaneous temperature change response. I bought Circulon Symmetry induction compatible cookware and between the cookware's heavy bottom and the equal distribution of cooking energy, there are no hot spots and things cook great. The oven also lives up to expectations. There is one thing I do not understand, induction ranges are not featured by retailers. There was not one on the floor at Home Depot, Best Buy, or Lowes. Here we have a cooking technology that many professional cooks are saying is the future and the ranges are not even available to look at. A technology that makes standard electric stoves obsolete and has better temperature control than gas and is environmentally friendlier. Induction ranges also offer smooth cooktops. Something is wrong with this picture. There should be places with live induction ranges for people to see in action.

What type of outlet is needed for this stove? I currently have a gas stove. What happens to the hook ups for the gas?

Asked by: hootchiemama
The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4616ST must be installed and grounded on a branch circuit by a qualified technician in accordance with the National Electrical code ANSI/NFPA NO. 70 - latest edition. All wiring should conform to Local and NEC codes. This range requires a single-phase, 3 wire, A.C 120/208 V or 120/240 V 60 Hz electrical system. You should only use a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL - listed range cord with closed-loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar termination. Do not install the power cord without a strain relief. You will need to check with your local building codes and ordinances or consult with your local building inspector about whether to use a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL - listed range cord. The range cord must be rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum voltage. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 13/8" diameter connection openings. You will need to cap the gas hookups, and for that, you will need to consult a gas supplier technician or gas supplier service...^IFV
