What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Induction Range We bought this range 2 weeks ago and have been very pleased with its' performance. Temperature control is excellent both in the oven and the surface induction units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, fast, reliable I’ve had my induction stove for about three years, continues to work great. Cooking with a stove that gets so hot so fast took some learning, yet heat modulation/control is nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just a few changes would be nice I am happily. Impressed with the heating of the cook top, and the oven bakes beautifully. I have a few suggestions. One is both small cook top burners should not be in the back. At least one should be on the front. The burner meant for keeping foods warm is not needed. There are other options for that. Instead it would be good to have the extra burner as a non induction heating element. The other suggestion is to have a metal lip that sits over the counter as the stove is slid into place. As it is there is a gap for collecting spills. Also, the white numbers on the stainless knobs are very hard to see. They should be black.

What power cord does this item have? What circuit is required?

Asked by: Rambo54
Like all other electric range ovens, the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4616ST does not come with a power cord. That has to be purchased separately. This appliance must be installed and grounded on a branch circuit by a qualified technician in accordance with the National Electrical code ANSI/NFPA NO. 70 - latest edition. All wiring should conform to Local and NEC codes. This range requires a single-phase, 3 wire, A.C 120/208 V or 120/240 V 60 Hz electrical system. Depending on your local building codes and ordinances, you can use only a 3-conductor or a 4-conductor UL-listed range cord with closed-loop terminals, open-end spade lugs with upturned ends or similar termination. The power cord should not be installed without a strain relief. A range cord rated at 40 amps with 120/240 minimum volt range is required. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 1 3 /8 " diameter connection openings. This appliance may be connected by means of a conduit or power cord. If you are not sure which power cord is allowed in your area, please consult with your local building inspector or a qualified electrician...^Ivan

Does the oven has a Rapid Preheat mode? How long does it take to get to 350?

Asked by: Cookbob
The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4616ST does not have a "Rapid Preheat Mode". When the oven reaches its set temperature, the preheating alarm light flashes 5 times or until the oven door is opened. How long it will take to reach the set temperature will depend on what your external environmental temperatures are. It will reach the set temperature quicker in hotter weather than on cooler days. Regrettably, we do not have a specific time for how long it will take to reach any set temperature...^Ivan

What is the purpose of the radiant burner? Where is it located on the cooking surface?

Asked by: BizH
The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4616ST features 4 x Induction Elements and 1 x Radiant Element. The difference between Radiant Elements and Induction Elements is that Induction Elements use a series of magnets to generate heat directly, making your cookware the heat source while Radiant Elements use coils that convert electrical energy to heat and the heat is then transferred to the food inside. Induction Elements are precise and more energy-efficient because they reduce heat waste when compared to radiant elements. Once a radiant element is turned off, it will continue to radiate heat for a short time. An induction element on the other hand stays relatively cool since the pan is actually heating and magnetism, rather than direct heat is what makes the pots and pans heat up so when you remove pots and pans off an induction element, it does not radiate any heat. You can only use induction-ready cookware, also known as induction-compatible cookware on an induction element...^Ivan

My friend has this stove purchased a year ago. The oven racks are virtually impossible to slide out so she has to reach in the oven to pick up her food. Has this been corrected in subsequent models. If not, can you suggest a fix.

Asked by: Teri18
The oven racks for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4616ST have a turned-up back edge that prevents them from being pulled out of the oven cavity. To slide them out, you need to pull the racks out until they stop, then lift up the front of the racks and pull them out. They should also be removed from the oven cavity during the Self Clean cycle. If they are left in the oven cavity during the Self Clean cycle, they will discolor and become difficult to slide in and out. To help the racks slide more easily, put a small amount of vegetable oil on a soft cloth or paper towel then rub the vegetable oil onto the left and right edge of the racks, ensuring they are lightly coated...^Ivan
