Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent stove with some minor annoying issues The slide-in look give the whole kitchen a different vibe. Our kitchen is not that old, but this stove gives the whole kitchen a completely updated feel. Love the way this stove cooks. Very responsive when changing heat settings, even with thick bottomed pans. When you turn the heat down it responds instantly. So much better than my previous glass top electric range. Boils water insanely fast. Make sure the bottoms of your pans are perfectly flat or you will not get full benefit of the burner. Food does not burn on the burners because the burner does not get scorching hot. So easy to clean. Wipes completely clean with a damp cloth. No razor blade or scouring pad needed. The oven heats up very quickly, though we haven’t yet determined how accurate the displayed temperature is. Seems to bake pies more quickly than our old one. I love the knobs. They are sturdy, very well made and clean very easily. The WiFi feature is pretty cool, but allows you to control the oven only. You can put your food in the oven and start it cooking with your phone no matter where you are. It also notifies your phone or tablet when the timer goes off. Cool feature if you’re not in earshot of the kitchen. The annoying parts: The cooling fan that comes on as soon as a burner is turned on is louder than I would like. I do like the fact that the fan exhausts at the back of the range and not the front like some other ones do. The timer is frustrating to set. When the button to increase time is pushed and held, instead of advancing at a normal rate it races so fast that you cannot stop it at the time you want. So, you have to peck at it one minute at a time. Maybe I’ll be able to harness it, but it’s been a few weeks now and I’m no better at controlling it than I was on day one. Inexcusable for an appliance in this price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply Amazing This range has only been in use a few weeks so no comment yet about durability. But the induction burners are amazing!!! Pan sensing feature works well, speed is down right impressive, the glass top has been easy to clean and maintain. The oven works very well with a nice even heat. This stove has so many features that we are still discoverying all tge things it can do. Now it only has to last for. 20 trouble free years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Oven I purchased this oven a few weeks ago. This is my first induction stovetop and I love it. Water boils so quickly, it's unvbeleivable. I've baked a cake and some muffins and they both came out perfect. Overall, the unit is very well built. The knobs aren't cheap like some of the other brands I looked at. This oven is a little on the pricey side - but it is well worth the money!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every expectation has been met. I purchased this stove several weeks ago. We had cooked on gas for years and had moved into a condominium in which case was not available. I was frustrated with the traditional electric cooktop. I had a high-quality range in the past. I am thrilled with every aspect of how this range works and how solid it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and efficient. After 2 months, the Induction Range is simply great. The ovens accuracy was spot on. One should know that Induction makes some noise, to many this is a distraction. As for myself it's a reminder the oven is on or somethings on the cooktop. The convection oven cones up to temp surprisingly quickly. Baking is even. The sliding oven tray was a nice feature. The cooktop takes a little getting used to some pots and pans have their own sweet spot. Cleans up nicely, especially since it doesn't burn up dribbles like a standard glasstop. Only one complaint. I am rather tall and the front panel display is nice but it would have been much better if the switches especially the + and - keys. There is a learning curve regarding all the features of the convection oven, but once gained it makes cooking easier and my life simplier. The LG app is a plus sending notifications to my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of all features When designing new kitchen island I was reluctant to putting stove/oven in Center. However, when I learned about induction and how it works I was put at ease. The surface cannot work without a magnetic metal pot. So even if stove knob is turned on there is no heat. This was a concern because of young children in Home. Speaking of knobs I love turning to setting versus hitting buttons. It also looks like a professional stove. The safety/ease of pulling out the oven racks is a good thing. The buzzers charm and the interior color wows. If you like to cook and expect a well thought out machine this is worth he extra cost.

What is the lowest temperature the oven can be set?

Asked by: Pandaisuki
The oven in the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST has a default temperature of 350 °F (*325 °F) for the convection modes and can be set from 300 °F / 150 °C to 550 °F / 285 °C for the Convection Bake and Convection Roast. It has a default temperature of 350 °F for the Bake mode and can be set from 170 °F / 80 °C to 550 °F / 285 °C for that mode. The convection modes use Auto Conversion which automatically converts a standard recipe temperature entered into the convection temperature by subtracting 25 °F / 14 °C. This auto-converted temperature shows on the display. For example, if you select Conv. Bake and enter 350 °F, 325 °F shows on the display after preheating...^IFV

Does this have an artificial flame to visually see how high the burner is turned?

Asked by: hsanchez
The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST does not have an artificial flame that allows you to visualize how high the elements are turned. The elements have settings on them, BOOST (Used to heat a large amount of food or to bring large pans of water to a boil), 8-Hi (Bring liquid to a boil/Start most cooking), MED-* )Holed a rapid boil, fry, deep fat fry/Quickly brown or sear food/Steaks, cutlets, grilled meat), 3-MED (Maintain a slow boil/Fry or sauté foods/Cook soups, sauces and gravies/Eggs, pancakes), SIMMER-3 (Stew or steam foods/Simmer), and Lo-SIMMER (Keep food warm/Melt chocolate or butter/Simmer). The cooking zones, which consist of paired cooking elements are restricted to drawing a certain maximum amount of power. If you cause a cooking zone to exceed its maximum allowed power by switching on the Boost function, the Power Management function automatically reduces the power setting of the two elements in the cooking zone to reduce the power draw...^IFV

Asked by: Texas Lady
Hi Texas Lady. Please pardon us, but we are not clear on your what features you're looking for in an LG Slide-In Range Oven that would be similar to those on Model # LSE4617ST. 2 questions about the elements.  1: What is the maximum time you can run the boost function? 2: what percentage of the element has to be covered for the pan to be detected by the element?  Some mfrs say it has to be within 0.5", others 1.0".

Asked by: Katy83
The four cooking elements on this LG 6.3 cu. ft. Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST require a minimum pan size to be used effectively. The inner ring of each cooking element is a guide to the minimum pan size. The bottom of your pans must fully cover the inner ring for proper cooking to occur and the pan must make full contact with the glass surface without the bottom of the pan touching the metal cooktop rim. The Boost mode stays in operation for up to 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the cooking element automatically returns to the HI setting...^IFV

How noisy is the fan? I don't mean a humming or slight noise , how are the fans? thanks

Asked by: Johnny2
Hi Johnny2. Typically, the sound level for electronic products is expressed in decibels since the preception of how loud or how quiet a product is very subjective and what one person finds to be loud may not be as loud to another person. Regrettably, we do not have a decibel rating for the sound level for the fan in the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST that you can use to assess the loudness or how quiet the fan in this range oven will be based on other common sounds that you are familiar with...^IFV

How to open the door of the lower grill

Asked by: Noug
Hello Noug, we are unsure if we understand your question. This is a single oven range with a warming drawer at the bottom. You have 1 door that pulls down to access the oven portion and 1 drawer that pulls outs. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-800-243-0000, or drop us a line on Twitter at @LGUSSupport or on Facebook at @LGUSSupport when you are with the unit. ^AC
