What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A lemon We bought this about 2 years ago the induction stove top works really good but the oven is worthless. We don't use our oven often but when we did it under cooked or over cooked. Thought it was something we did wrong and on somethings it didn't effect it to bad. Finally realized after we used an oven thermometer that the lower temperature was okay but above 350 was 20 degrees to hot. We had technicians come 6 or more times and replace numerous parts and still the same. LG did cover all but the initial service call, but didn't fix the problem.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrating cooktop I chose this oven because it is induction and for the safety of the induction cooktop. It takes some getting used to. I also have new pots and pans for an induction top. The smallest burners are located in the back and that does not make sense. When using a small pot you need to be able to look in and see how things are going. If you have a pan in front of it, you cannot see in and will not be able to see things unless you take the pot off the stove top and move it so you can see in. I was using three burners yesterday. Two in the back with small pots and the front left one, because the frying pan was too small for the front right burner. So I am frustrated with the pan to burner size and the location of the burners. It will not work if you have the wrong size pan on a particular burner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of features and fine styling Began using this range in January 2022 and am pleased with most of the extensive list of features. Love the substantial feel and location of the front controls - they don’t interfere with the cooking surface. The drawer at the bottom serves me well for storage of cookware lids. The rapid heating capability of the burners on "boost" is great! There are a couple things that could be better based on comparison to an induction range I owned previously. The burner elements turn off if a pot or pan is removed for more than few seconds (such as when flipping contents) and I have to turn the burner control off and back on again to proceed with cooking. Also the burners are overly sensitive to centering of the cookware on the burner - the burner stops heating if the cookware is moved off-center accidentally while stirring contents, for example. Getting the wi-if working was difficult due to minimal guidance in the instructions. Lastly, the cooktop surface is a little harder to clean than my previous induction cooktop. Overall, I would buy this model again.

Need to know if this oven has a heating element in the bottom of the oven. Wife is an avid baker and will not be happy if she cannot bake in a more traditional mode. I know its a convection oven but sounds like all the heating is done from the rear.

Asked by: GOTO
The Convection Roast and Convection Bake modes in the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST are selectable modes and you can still use a normal bake cycle in the oven. This range oven does not have a bake element in the bottom of the oven. The bake element is on the top of the oven. It is normal for the convection fan to operate periodically y throughout a normal bake cycle in the oven. This is to ensure even baking results...^Ivan

This range needs 40 amp or 50 amp breaker?  One review says 50.

Asked by: Pat M8
You can use either a range cord rated at 40 amps with a 120.240 minimum volt range or a 50 amp range cord with the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST. If a 50 amp range cord is used, it should be marked for use with 13/8" diameter connection openings. This Slide-In Range has a Kilowatt rating of 10.5 kW at 208V and 12.7 kW at 240V and for ranges that have a Kilowatt rating of between 8,750 - 16,500 kW at 240V or those that have a Kilowatt rating of 7,801 - 12,500 kW at 208V, you can use either a 40 or 50 amp power cord. Those that have a Kilowatt rating of between 16,501 - 22,500 kW at 240V or those that have a Kilowatt rating of 12,501 - 18,500 kW at 208V must use a 50 amp power cord. According to the NEC (National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA NO. 70 - latest edition), any household cooking appliance rated at 12kW or less can be served by a 40A. 40 and 50 amp circuit breaker are basically interchangeable. You can use either for a 50 amp receptacle. If you usae a 50 amp circuit breaker, you will need to use at least 6 gauge wire. For a 40 amp circuit breaker, you will need 8 gauge wire. You can determine the current draw for your stove by checking the label on the back, which is next to the power terminals or the place where the cord exits the appliance. The circuit breaker current rating must match the rating on this label. If in doubt, please consult with your local building codes or your local building inspector...^Ivan

Is the warming drawer restricted from being used as a storage drawer? If it can be used, how much space is available? The -16 model has an .8 cu ft storage space. We like the meat probe and upgrade oven racks, but NEED a storage drawer.

Asked by: Bobbl
The specifications on the product detail page on our site for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST list the W x H x D dimensions for the Warming Drawer as 22 3/16" x 4 1/2" x 16 3/8" (i.e a capacity of 0.9 cubic feet which is rounded off to 1.0 cubic feet). The owner's manual cautions against using pans or utensils with rough finishes in the Warming Drawer. Doing so can leave scratches on the inner drawer surfaces. It also cautions against using the warming drawer for storage of racks, broiler pans, insert pans, plates, or utensils. The warming drawer contains a heating element that may damage any items not specifically designed to be used with it...^IFV

Does this range have an exhaust system? We need a downward draft. Will this work?

Asked by: Artsund
Regrettably, LG does not manufacture any downdraft range ovens. The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST does not have an exhaust system. It has vents located on the Vent Trim which is the part that sticks up above the cooktop surface in the back of the oven...^IFV

Would I be able to use a small (butter warmer) pot on the smaller burners? Will the burners turn off if a pot is not centered on the burner?

Asked by: Homey16
The owner's manual for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST instructs to use the smaller burners for smaller pots and pans. The pans must have flat bottoms large enough to cover the heating elements. Using undersized pans exposes a portion of the heating element to direct contact and may result in clothing burning. The cooking elements are induction elements so the base material of the cookware must be magnetic for the cooking elements to activate. Cookware must be centered correctly on the surface of the cooking element. The cooking-element sensors located below the cooktop surface require certain cookware conditions to be met before the induction cooking elements can operate. The cooking zone LED bar may display a pan sensing error message. If a cooking element is activated and no cookware is detected, the affected induction cooking zone LED bar will fluctuate. If the cookware does not meet the correct conditions, the cooking zone may not heat. If the problem is not corrected, the affected cooking element will automatically deactivate after one minute...^IFV

I just bought the LG 6.3CuFt INDUCTION Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection in Stainless Steel and want to install in an island. The back is not finished so will will not look good in an island. Is there a trim kit available?

Asked by: Slide in island
Regrettably, there is no trim kit available for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Induction Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSE4617ST that will cover the back. Unfortunately, that is the difference between a Slide-In range and a Freestanding Range. A Slide-in range is designed to "slide-in" between standard base kitchen cabinets that have a minimum opening width of 30" and it does not have finished sides making it unsuitable for installation in islands or as a corner unit...^IFV
