What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good large capacity dryer This has been a good machine until recently when the drum began to squeal when drying a load of towels. We've had a service call and expect the problem to be resolved when the technician returns. Other than the recent issue, it's been a great machine.

Is this dryer good for a long run on the vent?

Asked by: John Brosemer
Hi there! Thanks for the question! You can only use a 4-inch (10.2 cm) rigid, semi-rigid or flexible metal ductwork inside the dryer cabinet and for venting outside for model # DLE7300WE . If you are using a 4" wall cap, the Maximum length of 4-inch (10.2 cm) diameter rigid metal duct without any 90° elbows is 65 ft (19.8m). You will need to deduct 6 ft (1.8 m) for each additional 90° elbow. If you are using a 2.5" wall cap, the Maximum length of 4-inch (10.2 cm) diameter rigid metal duct without any 90° elbows is 55 ft (16.8m) Again, you will need to deduct 6 ft (1.8 m) for each additional 90° elbow. You cannot use more than four 90° elbows. ^Jolly

I cant get dryer to show up on thinq app. I tried manually tried adding it using the setup steps and still nothing. Do I have a faulty dryer?

Asked by: Shdjdjdjejeej
Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone to connect the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7300VE to the ThinQ app? Are you expecting the dryer model number to appear when manually adding it to the ThinQ app? After opening the ThinQ app, you would need to touch the + sign to add a device on the home screen. On the 'Select a Device to Add', tap the dryer icon, and when the popup menu appears, select the type of dryer. When the set network screen appears, select your home network's ID. Following the instructions on the screen, press and hold the Wi-Fi enabling button on the dryer for more than three seconds. Verify that the Wi-Fi LED light on the dryer is blinking. Once the authentication process is completed, you will see a connected message and you can enter a nickname for the dryer...^Ivan

Sorry, asked elsewhere in the wrong place. I read that a problem with this dryer is that if your clothes need 15 more minutes to dry, the Sensor will think that they are already dried, and stop after a short time. How do you get around this problem? TY!

Asked by: Dixieboz
The display on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7300VE shows the estimated time remaining for SENSOR DRY cycles or the actual time remaining for Time Dry or MANUAL DRY cycles. The cycle time on SENSOR DRY cycles may fluctuate as the dryer recalculates drying time for optimal results. Sensor dry cycles utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air and adjust the drying time as needed to ensure superior results. The dryer automatically sets the dryness level and temperature at the recommended setting for each cycle. The estimated time remaining will be shown in the display. You can use the More Time/Less Time buttons to add or reduce the drying time of a MANUAL DRY cycle in 1-minute increments...^Ivan

Does this dryer come with the cord?

Asked by: Jsde
Like all other Electric Dryers, regardless of brand or manufacturer, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7300WE does not come with a power cord. The dryer has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes (the circuit must be fused on both sides of the line). You can use either a 30-amp, 240-volt, 4-wire, UL- listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor or a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. The wiring and grounding must conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, and all applicable local regulations. If you are not sure which power cord to use, you will need to check your local building codes or consult with your local building inspector. Since manufacturers do not know which power wire connection is permitted in your area, they do not include a power cord with electric dryers...^Ivan

Will the dryer fit a large king comforter?

Asked by: LJjo
King Size Comforters come with a variety of filler materials that will make some more fluffy and bulkier than others. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7300VE will accommodate most, if not all King Size Comforters depending on how bulky the King Size Comforters are. The general rule of thumb is that you will need a dryer with at least a 7.0 cubic feet capacity to handle most King Size Comforters, but drying it outside gives it a fresh air smell not attainable even with the best of softener products and sheets. Check the care tag to verify your comforter can be washed at home. Some down comforters require special cleaning to help them keep their shape. Standard fabrics such as polyesters and cotton-poly blends can be washed at home following the instructions on the tag...^Ivan

I paid to have the door reversed on this dryer by the company who installed it. The door is able to open on the other side but I am unable to open it at the top to do a quick dryer check.  Did the installer do the reversal wrong? How is it corrected?

Asked by: MK007
Just for clarification, when you say that the two-wat reversible door for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Front Load Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7300WE, "is able to open on the other side" but I am unable to open it at the top to do a quick check.", do you mean that the door opens from side-to-side but will not open hamper style? The company that reversed the door for you did not do the reversal wrong. There is a release button (page 9 in your owner's manual) on the top of the door that allows you to open the door hamper-style...^IFV
