The sensor dry turns things off before they dry
I have used this dryer in a rental house for ~3 months. It always turns the dryer off before the clothes are dry, which is infuriating, especially when you add time. This is a perfect example of new tech making things work. I am happy to leave it running to ensure it drys the clothes, but the dryer apparently knows better, so it stops and everything is damp (even when turned to "very dry"). Get a normal, old-fashioned dryer, not a sensor one.

I regret buying this LG product
I bought the washer dryer set - both of which work very well - however, I was told I could switch the doors around. LG won't switch the doors around via the concierge service. LG customer service told me I could hire someone to switch the doors which would negate the warranty. If the doors can be switched, why won't LG stand by their products and switch the doors so they will be better functionally? I won't by LG again. I already bought the fridge, range and W/D. I still need a microwave and dishwasher - they lost future sales.

The WM3900HWA is 39 inches high and the DLEX3900W is 38 11/16 inches high. If they're a matching pair, why aren't they the same height?
The difference of 5/16" (or 0.3125") between the ENERGY STAR® Qualified 4.5 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Front Load Washer with TurboWash™ 360 Technology, Model # WM3900HWA, and its matching dryer, the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Electric Dryer with TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX3900W is barely noticeable. Take a look at your ruler to see how small a difference that is between the washer and dryer...^Ivan

Does the black color and appearance match with the new washer model WM4000HWA? Currently the DLEX4000B is not available at my zip code. Is there any way to order DLEX4000B and deliver when it’s available?
I can only confirm that both dryer DLEX3900B and washer WM4000HBA both are Black Steel. I cannot say whether or not there is variance in color appearance. ^Daphane

What is the length of the electrical cord? Where is located on the dryer (top or bottom)?
Electrical Dryers do not come with electrical power cords. They have to be purchased separately. The Terminal Block Access Panel that you have to connect an appropriate power cord to on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer with TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX3900W is located in the top right corner (If standing behind the dryer. left if standing in front of the dryer) of the cabinet. The wiring and grounding must conform to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, and all applicable local regulations. Depending on your local building codes, you can use either a 30-amp, 240-volt, 4-wire, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed-loop or forked terminals with upturned ends, or a 30-amp, 240-volt, 3-wire, UL-listed power cord with #10 AWG-minimum copper conductor and closed-loop or forked terminals with upturned ends. A 3-wire connection is NOT permitted on new construction after January 1, 1996. A 4-wire connection is required for all mobile and manufactured home installations, as well as all new construction after January 1, 1996. If you are not sure which power cord is required in your home, check your local building codes or contact your local building inspector. You can select the length of the appropriate power cord you need from the retailer that you purchase the dryer from...^Ivan

What is the total height with a pedestal. Or can you just add the heights listed?
When you install the 27" LG Laundry Pedestal, Model # WDP4W under the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer with TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX3900W, the leveling feet on both units have to be lowered to their lowest setting which are the listed heights for each unit, so you can just add the listed heights for either unit to get the total height for when you have the pedestal installed under the dryer. That will be 14 1/8" for the pedestal and 38 11/16" for the dryer which will be a total height of 52 341/400" if you prefer fractions or 52.8025" if you prefer decimals...^Ivan

Do I have to connect it to water. I don’t want the steam.
If you do not intend to use the steam functions then you do not have to connect the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Electric Dryer with TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX3900B to a water supply line. Do not attempt to use any of the steam functions when the dryer is not connected to a water supply line...^IFV

What is the product height when stacked with the compatible sidekick washer below?
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Electric Dryer with TurboSteam™, Model # DLEX3900W has a height of 38 11/16" and the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer with TurboWash™ 360 Technology, Model # WM3900HWA has a height of 39" so when they are stacked, the total height will be 77 11/16" (77.6875"). The stacking kit does not add anything to the height...^IFV
