Great Dryer
I bought this dryer because it matches my washer that I've had for several years and I wanted to stack them. It's very efficient and is quiet. My only complaint was that it doesn't have a light inside. But I've gotten used to it.

Everytime I put it on Sensor Dry cycles, they start and turn off within a minute. I can only dry on Manuel Dry now. How am I able to use the Sensor Dry cycles again?
How long have you had the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer, Model # DLE3400W, and do you use dryer sheets with it? Sensor Dry cycles utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air and adjust the drying time as needed to ensure superior results. The dryer automatically sets the dryness level and
the temperature at the recommended setting for each cycle. Dryer sheets can leave a coating of residue inside your dryer, and if it gets on the dryer's sensors it can interfere with the dryer's ability to properly dry. You may need to clean the sensors and if that doesn't resolve the issue, the dryer may need repair service...^Ivan

Had dryer about a yr and the signal doesn't work - how to fix
When you press and hold the Dry Level/*Signal button on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer, Model # DLE3400W for three seconds, you can adjust the volume for the signal. When no signal is heard, the signal is off. You may have inadvertently turned the signal off. The volume settings are ON - OFF. Press and hold the button repeatedly to adjust the volume of the melody. The signal volume can be adjusted at any time as long as the dryer is turned ON...^Ivan

Is it normal for this dryer to have a diminished air flow while venting? Air flow seems far less than prior dryers we have had.
It is not normal for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.4 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer, Model # DLE3400W or for any dryer to have diminished airflow. Diminished airflow is an indication that your exhaust dryer duct is clogged with a buildup of lint and it will need to be cleaned. With the reduced airflow, the air temperature can increase to the point of starting a lint fire. Another common culprit for an impeded dryer airflow is a blocked lint filter. Check to make sure that the total length of your flexible metal duct does not exceed 8 ft. (2.4 m), and if you have any 90° elbows in your ductwork, you should not exceed the number of 90° elbows allowed for the length of duct (see chart on page 21 in your owner's manual). You can also follow the instructions on page 32 in your owner's manual for performing an Installation Check (Duct Test). to make sure the condition of the exhaust system is adequate for proper operation of the dryer. This test should be performed to alert you to any serious problems in the exhaust system of your home. Your dryer features Flow Sense™, an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork.
