New DLE7150W dried clothes fine; a week later the door was full of condensation & there was water in the bottom of the drum. I dried it, did laundry, worked fine. Went to do laundry today, same thing. Am I supposed to leave the door open when not in use?

Asked by: FTBALLMOM
Check to make sure that your vent duct is connected to the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7150W, or that your ductwork is clear and free of lint. If the dryer cannot vent to the outside, all that moisture that it has to vent while drying will be recycled within the drum resulting in condensation pooling in the drum. This dryer features LG's Flow Sense™ technology, an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork. You can refer to the instructions on page 25 of your owner's manual for how to run an installation test (duct check)...^Ivan

What is meant by "Rear Control Top Load Dryer"? The photos appear to show a front load dryer.

Asked by: Brooklyn Exile
The difference between Front Load Dryers and Top Load Dryers is that Front Load Dryers do not have a rearguard on which the controls for the dryer are located. The controls for a Front Load Dryer are in the front of the dryer which is why Front Load dryers are stackable and TopLoad Dryers are not. Although the door for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7150W is in the front like that on a front load dryer, the dryer has a rearguard on which the controls are located which is what is meant by "Rear Control Top Load Dryer"...^Ivan

I have a new dryer - and I don't know how to get hot air to dry the clothes.  I choose each setting and open it when finished and everything is still wet.  What am I missing?

Asked by: Judith 2016
Did you have your ductwork cleaned before installing the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Electric Dryer with Sensor Dry Technology, Model # DLE7150W? Is the dryer heating up? If the dryer feels really hot, but your clothes take forever to dry, or your clothes are coming out damp, the vent may be clogged. A clogged vent traps the excess hot air inside the dryer's drum, but the low circulation of air keeps clothes from getting dry. You also need to always make sure the lint filter is clean before starting a new load; a clogged lint filter will increase drying time. You can perform a heat test to make sure that the dryer is heating by turning it off, then press and hold the TEMP and Signal buttons down at the same time, then while holding them down, press POWER until code In5 appears or you can press TEMP and DAMP DRY at the same time then while holding them down, press POWER until code In5 appears. You can then start the heat test by pressing Start/Pause. The test will take about three minutes. Keep an eye on the Flow Sense™ indicator and error codes on the display ( np,PS, d85 or others) and check to see if the indicator is lit. Now open the door and feel inside the drum to see if it feels warm or cold. If you do not have any error codes showing or you do not have bars appearing on the Flow Sense™ indicator and the drum feels cold, that is a power issue. If the dryer is heating and there is airflow, check to make sure that the Energy Saver mode is not on. Make sure that your loads are not too large. Your clothes need to be able to tumble freely. The Sensor Dry cycles in the dryer utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air and adjust the drying time as needed to ensure superior results. The dryer automatically sets the dryness level and temperature at the recommended setting for each cycle. The estimated time remaining will be shown in the display. Sensor dry cycles will keep running until your clothes are dry, unless the sensors are clogged which is unlikely for a new dryer. The moisture sensors detect the dryness level of the clothes. If the sensors are clogged, the sensors will not read correctly and cause the dryer to shut off before your clothes are dry. The Flow Sense™ duct blockage sensing system detects and alerts you to restrictions in the installed household ductwork that reduce exhaust airflow through the dryer. If you see the alert: Clean or repair the ducts to remove the restrictions. Keep your ducts free of blockage to help increase efficiency and reduce long drying times caused by blocked duct. You can refer to the instructions on page 25 of your owner's manual for how to perform an Installation Test (Duct Check) to make sure the condition of the exhaust system is adequate for proper operation of the dryer. This test should be performed to alert you to any serious problems in the exhaust system of your home...^Ivan

how much room do you need behind the dryer for the vent hose? Will this one fit in a laundry closet that is 37-1/2" deep?

Asked by: imcarmel
Dryer DLE7100W has a depth of 29.5”. This dryer has been tested for clearances of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on the sides and rear. Recommended clearances should be considered for the following reasons: •Additional clearances should be considered for ease of installation and servicing. • Additional clearances might be required for wall, door and floor moldings. • Additional clearances should be considered on all sides of the dryer to reduce noise transfer. For closet installation, with a door, minimum ventilation openings in the top and bottom of the door are required. Louvered doors with equivalent ventilation openings are acceptable. • Companion appliance spacing should also be considered. ^Daphane
