It's actually pretty solid
So the best thing I absolutely love is how you can connect multiple devices and using the headphone type c dongle to your device such as your switch or laptop or Xbox, it actually comes in very handy.
And this is my honest opinion.

Great sound and features
I bought the earbuds to test a few weeks ago. They arrived guickly. I was impressed with their features and quality. They fit comfortably and sound really good. LG had a 15day return policy but I chose to keep them after testing them.

Has anyone else had issues with the earbuds staying connected to their phone even while the earbuds are securely placed in the charging case with the lid closed? I use a iPhone 12 mini with the most recent updated software.
Good question. When Bluetooth earbuds like the LG TONE-T90Q are in the case, they are in “charging mode”. Otherwise, they will be on “connection mode”. If the earbuds won’t automatically switch from “connection mode” to “charging mode” when you put them in the case, that would mean that the battery is insufficient to charge the earbuds so they remain connected to your phone. ~Bridge

Does the T80q have a balance control in the APP?
We do not have a T80Q earbud. Did you mean the LG TONE Free ® T90 Dolby Atmos® with Dolby Head Tracking™ True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds, Black? The Tone Free app for the T90Q has an equalizer, touchpad setting, and a 'Find my Earbuds' function. The equalizer settings feature Bass Boost, Natural, and Treble Boost settings, Custom 1 and Custom 2 customizable EQ modes, an Ambient Sound setting, and Notification Settings with which you can set the notification for each application so that you can check messages, etc., without having to look at your smartphone.
