Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does what I want but one big flaw. So instead of buying a laptop to transfer my cds to usb. I thought this would be cheaper and easier. I had checked some YouTube videos to make sure it does what it says it will do. So I bought one new at Walmart. Well as one of the YouTube videos mentioned the instructions don't explain how to transfer cds to usb. But I was able to use my smartphone to down load the basic instructions from Lg website. So I'm practicing and getting it figured out. But it seems you cannot delete the usb files if you screw up. So they say use a PC to delete it and of course I don't have one to that. So I'll keep practicing to make sure I know what I'm doing then get some usbs and do it. And go to the library and use one of their computers to delete the practice usb. I will buy a laptop later in the year. I have no idea how good the DVD player is because I have a Sony blu ray.

Will it play Blu-ray DVDs

Asked by: Goldieraylandrum 1982
4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-Ray DVD, and DVD technologies are backward compatible. That means that each technology can playback the technolgies that preceded it. The LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132 is a DVD player so the only technology that preceded it was the CD technology so it will play DVDs and CDs, but it cannot play the Blu-ray and 4K UHD Blu-ray technologies that succeeded it...^IFV

I have this DVD player, and my daughter actually loves it but unfortunately we have lost three low and cannot hit play without it is there a way that we could play the movie without using the remote?

Asked by: Kam33
Hi Kam33. Regrettably, we are not clear about what the "three low" that you have lost is, but for most DVD-ROM discs, the LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132 will automatically start playback. You will still need a remote control to operate the player since it does not have physical buttons for operations other than On/Off and the Open/Close. If you have an Android smartphone, you can search for the LG QuickRemote app in the Google Play Store that you can download and install on the phone to use it as a remote control. For an iOS smartphone, search for the app in the iTunes App Store...^IFV
