What people are saying
Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheesy If you sit on the main menu of any dvd, blue ray, or 4k blue ray, when the music track is over and is going to restart, the UBK90 player causes the speakers to make a loud crackle noise. In the middle of a 4 k blue ray that is brand new never used the screen will make pink squares on the tv screen and screw up the picture for a second then go back to normal. it does this on every 4 k blue ray disk. The home page is really cheesy looking with a bright white background. It connects to wifi but you cant load additional apps. It has Netflix already on it but you cant install hulu or amazon prime or vudu or anything thing? Whats going on LG?

Do you have any DVD players that you can do web browsing? For example you can go to a website and look at a video that is connect to that website.

Asked by: claimspecialist1
We currently have two DVD Players in our lineup, the LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132H and Model # DP132 and regrettably, neither one features a web browser. Typically, videos can be streamed from Blu-Ray DVD Players that have built-in streaming apps. For example, a Netflix apps will take you to Netflix, an Amazon Prime Video app will take you to Amazon Prime etc., ^IV

In features, LG listed this as a device with PAL - NTSC conversion. Does it mean, this system will read both PAL and NTSC, or it will convert PAL to NTSC. NTSC⇔PAL Conversion Yes

I understand that the player cannot decode DTS:X but can it not even bitstream to a receiver for deciding? Would it be possible to add this in a firmware update if not?

Asked by: caseyc
The LG 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Dolby Vision®, Model # UBK90 can handle Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio formats. DTS:X is layered on top of the DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack already existing on Blu-ray discs and since DTS:X is backward compatible, it will work with your current 5.1 or 7.1 configurations and will play on the UBK90...^IFV

I have an LG UHDTV 4k , 55”  . I prefer a complete home surround system with DVD player but can’t seem to find one . So i want to know will this player work on my TV  and is there a wireless speaker system that connects Wi-Fi to this player ??

Asked by: celestron8g8
I have the 55UF6450 model . I’ve hooked it up to my TV as well as the SK8Y sound system and the player works fine but when i put in the movie Transformers my system was no louder than TV speakers and no sound from the woofer even tho it showed it was powered and connected Wi-Fi to the sound bar . I can’t seem to get the big surround sound as i had before with other surround sound systems . I’m using HDMI cable for player but the Optical cable for the surround sound bar .

Is this Blur-Ray Player region free? If not, do you guys sell one?

Asked by: Eciresa96
Hi Eciresa96. The LG 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Dolby Vision®, Model # UBK90 is not a region-free unit, however, manufacturers of 4K discs have decided not to code their discs by region. In other words, a 4K movie will play in any 4K player regardless of what country the disc comes from. This only applies to 4K discs, non-4k Blu-ray or DVD discs still maintain their regional coding...^IFV
