Review of our LG AU810PB
Three words to describe our LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser Cinebeam Home Theater Projector that we recently purchased from LG in March 2022:
WE LOVE IT!
This Projector boots an Amazing Picture/Video Quality/Sound. The Colors are brilliant/sharp, 1080P/4K Videos are Awesome to watch, even the sound is Awesome coming thru the Projector. I have recently purchased a Receiver, and in the process of setting up a 7.1 Home Theater Surround Sound, so our Home Theater Room experience is only to get Totally Awesome once paired with our LG AU810PB Projector.
We spent many hours/months on the Internet reading reviews/watching YouTube Video Reviews before making a decision in purchasing a 4K Laser Projector. It’s an expensive investment for my wife and me, since we are both retired and in our middle/late Sixties.
End Results – We definitely made the right choice in purchasing the LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser Cinebeam Home Theater Projector. When we were ready to order this LG Projector, it was Out of Stock, and had to wait nearly four weeks, but it’s truly been well worth the wait. This LG Projector is Totally Awesome. You won’t be disappointed, it’s very nice.

Focus uniformity
I have now taking my projector back twice due to focus uniformity issues. When the projector works it looks great, but it seems to keep going out of focus every 20 minutes. Hopefully they can fix it a second time but if not I really want my money back.

Is Netflix app still not available on AU810PB and HU810P? When will it be? LG responses to other reviews/comments state "not compatible with this model". Why not? Hardware? Software? Is it available on the HU85LA model? All 3 share similar display tech?!?
Neither the LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector nor the LG HU810P 4K UHD Laser Smart Home Theater CineBeam Projector are compatible with the Netflix app. Netflix does not have an app that is designed for compatibility with either projector. The Netflix app is a Premium Content Providers app that is available on the LG HU85LA 4K UHD Laser Smart Home Theater CineBeam Projector. LG has not made any announcements about plans to make the Netflix app available on the AU810PB or the HU810P...^IFV

Is 3D video capability being planned/considered in a near-future firmware update? This is the only missing feature keeping me (and i'm not alone on this) from pulling the trigger on a purchase. Thanks.
Based on market trends, sharply declining sales, and dying support for 3D content, manufacturers stopped manufacturing 3D televisions at the end of 2016 with LG being one of the last two standouts, but no TV manufacturer offered 3D TVs for 2017 or later. People just stopped buying 3D TVs and as the market for 3D shrank rapidly, manufactures stopped offering 3D for other products. LG has not made any announcements about any plans for offering any 3D projectors in the near future. The LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector would need a hardware update for it to support 3D, it cannot be upgraded via a firmware update...^IFV

It is equipped with a direct dual laser light source with red and blue lasers plus a phosphor wheel that eliminates the need for the less desirable RGB spinning wheel while delivering better color fidelity and color saturation. The long life and stable dual laser delivers peak luminance up to 2700 lumens for a true HDR cinema experience with full-color volume and dynamic tonal range. The projector uses XPR technology to upscale your content to 4K UHD quality with 8.3 Mega Pixels utilize 4K UHD laser technology to deliver Real 4K UHD, DCI-P3 97% Dual Laser (Red & Blue), and 2,000,000:1 Contrast Ratio Black Level. XPR technology combines image processing with the ability of the DMD's mirrors to shift at the microsecond level to allow each mirror to project multiple pixels per frame, creating a 4K UHD image from an otherwise non-UHD chip. In order to use WISA, does the AU810PB require an external USB adapter? If so, where do I buy. I searched the LG website and can't find. What's the advantage of USB WISA adapter to HDMI eARC adapter?
WiSA Certified Speakers seamlessly connect to any WiSA Certified Transmitters (USB Transmitter or Adapter) and you will need one to connect the speakers to the LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector. Does the AU810PB have anamorphic mode for 2.4:1 content?
Thank you for your inquiry. The LG AU810PB 4K UHD Smart Dual Laser CineBeam Projector and the LG HU810P 4K UHD Laser Smart Home Theater CineBeam Projector are the same and share the same manual. The difference between them is in the color of the body. Regrettably, we currently do not have information about if either has an anamorphic mode for 2:4:1 content. The owner's manual does not show that either projector has an anamorphic mode for 2:4:1 content but we are waiting for our HQ in Korea to verify this...^IFV
