How to Replace your Water Filter

Here's all you need to know to change your refrigerator water filter. We're happy to show you how, step by step.

FRESH WATER SIMPLY TASTES BETTER.

FRESH WATER SIMPLY TASTES BETTER.

Keeping your refrigerator in tip top shape with a brand new water filter is a smart move. By changing your LT800P / LT800PC water filter on a regular basis, you'll continue to reduce contaminates such as iron, particulates and chlorine in your drinking water and ice cubes. You'll notice the difference!

The sale of counterfeit and deceptively labeled water filters is a growing problem in the U.S.. 3rd party filters are not guaranteed to properly filter water in your LG refrigerator and may cause damage not covered under the terms of LG's warranty. Always use new LG filters with your LG refrigerator. It is essential that the manufacturer's recommended installation, maintenance and filter replacement requirements be carried out for the product to perform as advertised.

The LG LT800P / LT800PC Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (part# ADQ73613401) is compatible with the following LG refrigerators¹

What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to replace Ordered on line and received the product in less than a week. It was real easy to replace. My only frustration is that I bought my refrigerator at a Sears in Visalia (I live in Porterville which is a 30 minute drive away)and they do not carry the replacement water filters for any LG product. Neither does Lowes Yes ordering on line is easy, but it should be stated somewhere when I purchased my refrigerator that the only place I could get the water filter is online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought it three month ago and I am very happy because it's real LG original water filter. Water taste is clear and crystal. Please be careful to order online. I ordered two times at Amazon and both was fake one. That's the reason I order directly to LG. Please see the same goods but one is real and the other is fake one. One in right side is real. There are so many fake one in online. Look at the Red printed letter A and A' I strongly recommend to you to buy it LG or Store not online.

if i have this inner filter: LG Original LT800P ADQ73613401 Refrigerator Water Filter Genuine do i need non genuine external filter (that u can buy on every store not something special) ? or they do the same job on the water coming out from ref kiosk?

Asked by: nisan
That will depend on the "non-genuine external filter" that you get. The LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (ADQ73613401), Model # LT800P is an NSF/ANSI certified filter. To help address concerns about the safety and performance of products sold worldwide and marketed for treating household water supplies, NSF International developed several American National Standards covering a wide array of water treatment systems, including: • Filters (whole house, drinking water, and shower units) • Reverse osmosis systems • Water softeners • Distillation systems • Ultraviolet disinfection products and microbiological purifiers. To earn NSF certification, water treatment systems must undergo extensive testing to confirm that they meet the strict requirements of American National Standards. In addition to verifying that the system is structurally sound, NSF verifies that: • The contaminant reduction claims shown on the label are true. • The system does not add anything harmful to the water. • The product labeling, advertising and literature are not misleading...^IFV
