Good Looking Waste of Money!I bought this unit in Jan. 2018. Such a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I started to notice the food would be lukewarm. I did reset the fridge as instructed. It would go from cold to lukewarm. All my frozen foods were mushy about $200 worth. Had to toss the items and reset the fridge again. Once again everything went from cold to lukewarm. Here it is June 2020 the unit has gone completely out. I have lost about $400 in food. My son has a $2,000 medication that has to be refrigerated and we have lost that. Whose gonna replace that? I am waiting for someone LG is sending to come and "fix" the unit. Until then we are using a cooler while our beautiful 2 year old fridge is sitting nice and hot. I wish I would have read the reviews first.

Not coolingI have owned this fridge raptor for less than 2 yrs. and it does not cool properly and my ice maker does not work properly because the unit does not cool properly. SEE PHOTO
The problem is made worse because LG knows they have a problem with the linear compressors, and overall performance of this product.
There Repair technician told me that 49 -55 degrees is a safe refrigerator temperature.
I have lost all my groceries twice and has cost me over $400 in spoiled groceries.
I hope someone from LG gets this review and offers to repair the unit or replace the unit.
If not, I hope I can save another potential customer the LG headache and go another route.

Opening is fine (36 inches) but does this fit with a wall on one side have a lfx319255w that fits but is the a true 44 1/2 when the doors is open on LFXS model.
Asked by: DragonMonster
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 30 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LFXS3079D has a listed width of 44 1/4" with the door open 90˚ which means that you will need a door edge clearance of 4 1/4" (4 1/2" recommended) for either door so you can open it 90˚. Please verify the model number for the refrigerator you currently have that you gave as Model # LFX319255W (Looks like one of the "5's" should have been an "S"). If the correct model number is LFX31925SW, which has a width of 45" with the door open 90˚ with handle, then you will not have a problem with the LFXS3079D fitting into the space...^IFV

Hello, all of our new models have a built in bypass, so you do not need to purchase one. Just simply do not install a filter. ^AC

The freezer is set to 0 degrees and has been working fine, but now the inside is making frost, does anyone know why this happens?
Asked by: Mlt73
There are two main things that can cause frost building up.
1) Door is opened frequently or for long periods of time.
To resolve: When the doors are opened often or for long periods of time, warm, humid air enters the
compartment. This raises the temperature and moisture level within the compartment. Increased
moisture will lead to frost and condensation. To lessen the effect, reduce the frequency and duration of door openings.
2) Door is not closing properly.
To resolve: Check for food packages that are blocking the door area. Check to see if the Ice bin, crisper cover, pans, shelves, door bins, or baskets are out of position. The doors were removed during product installation and not properly replaced. Check to see if the refrigerator is leveled properly. ^CP

What depth is considered "counter depth"? The specs show that the 30796S is considered counter depth ready, this true?
Asked by: RaulJoel
Counter depth is approximately 24" without doors. LFXS30796S would not be considered a counter depth model.
