Awesome fridge, scared for reviews though.
I’ve had this fridge since 2019. Glad I bought the extended warranty. It’s been an awesome appliance — until it came to a simple repair. The micro switch on the ice/water dispenser broke. The method to replace a simple switch couldn’t be more complex and overwhelmingly complicated — so I had to refer to the experts as I did not want to do anything that would void the warranty. Long story short; the experts had to order the parts (plural) and it is one month going because one part shipped broken because they packaged it in a very flimsy bag, instead of a box, for such a large piece of plastic. Never seen such reckless abandon toward packaging. Hopefully I will one day get all the parts — despite this only being a simple switch replacement — so I can get my ice/water maker working again. I’m just fortunate that it wasn’t something more serious! The reviews on customer service and similar issues like this are also disappointing — and I was in denial for such a long time myself — I paid so much for this — WHY or HOW can it possibly break? But denial can only get you so far. Eventually you have to accept the truth about what other people are reporting.

prior to purchasing, my concern is about the amount of ice it will make and how long it takes to replenish itself. do you have any information?
It takes about 12 to 24 hours for a newly installed ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu. ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LMXS28596S to begin making ice. Ice is made in the automatic in-door ice maker and sent to the dispenser. The ice maker produces 70 - 182 cubes in a 24-hour period, depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings, and other operating conditions. Ice-making stops when the in-door ice bin is full. When full, the in-door ice bin holds approximately 6 to 8 (12-16 oz.) glasses of ice. How long it takes to replenish will depend on how much ice is used and the time it takes to fill up the in-door ice bin. The automatic freezer icemaker produces 12 cubes at a time, 50-110 pieces within a 24 hour period if conditions are favorable. This amount may vary according to the environment (ambient temperature around the appliance, frequency of the door being opened, amount of food stored in the appliance, etc.)...^IFV

THE FLAP ON THE LEFT DOOR IS NOT WORKING. THERE IS A LITTLE PLASTIC SHAFT THAT IS SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE THE FLAP BUT THE SHAFT ON MINE DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. HOW DOES THIS CLOSER WORK?

Why does the fridge make a very loud and annoying sound ? And it turns off the moment I open a door and the kicks back up when I close it? What’s an easy fix for this it’s been happening for months now , if there is no fix then what can I do ? its new too
