What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent service from beginning to end! After 4 years my LG fridge decided to to take a permanent hiatus. I was worried the appliance was out of warranty so I was expecting the worst. To my surprise LG covered the issue and contacted an LG certified technician to replace the parts needed. The Tech immediately reached out and gave me tips on what ti do until the repair day. The tech arrived and fixed the fridge in a timely manner and was extremely nice! Definitely purchase LG in the future. Thank you

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks Good, But! I bought the refrigerator November 30, 2021, initially I loved it until September 9, 2022. The entire refrigerator stop getting cold. It took 12 days for LG to get someone fix the issues the compressor was out and the refrigerator required freon. Needless to say, I am an unhappy customer of this product. I don’t trust the brand and it products. I had to throw all my food away and buy food everyday.

Our refrigerator (approx. 3 years old) makes a loud thumping sound periodically.

Asked by: Abnormal sounds
The thumping sound that you are referring to is what is known as water hammer and it is a potentially serious condition that can affect plumbing pipes in any part of your home. It happens because the water in your pipes is pressurized and incompressible. When you suddenly alter its flow by closing a valve, it sends shock waves through the pipes, causing a banging sound and potentially weakening joints. Plumbers stop the banging by installing a water hammer arrestor in the pipe near the valve from which the noise is emanating. Your ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LSXC22396S features an ice maker, and an easier way to install a water hammer arrestor that doesn't involve in-wall plumbing is to turn off the water to the refrigerator, unplug it and pull it far enough from the wall to get behind it. Turn off the shut-off valve and disconnect the copper tube that goes to the ice maker by loosening the compression nut that holds it with a wrench. Once the tube is disconnected, move the refrigerator completely out of the way. Put a bucket under the valve and open it all the way to let water drain. Unscrew the nut holding the valve to the supply pipe and remove the valve. Cut the compression ring and nut off the pipe with a hacksaw. If the valve is soldered onto the pipe, cut it off. De-burr the edges of the pipe with a file so you can install a new valve that has an extra port to which a water hammer arrestor is connected. You should be able to find such a valve at a plumbing supply outlet or online. Most have a 1/2-inch compression connection for the supply pipe and a 3/8-inch compression fitting for the ice maker tubing. Slide the compression nut onto the pipe with the threads facing out and slip on the compression ring. Thread the nut onto the valve, then hold the valve steady with adjustable pliers while you tighten the nut with a wrench. Turn off the valve, turn on the water and check for leaks. Move the refrigerator back toward the wall and connect the ice maker tube to the valve, tightening the connection with a wrench. Turn on the valve, plug in the refrigerator and move it all the way against the wall...^Ivan

I really love the LG model #LSXC 22396S with InstaView but unfortunately I live in a Co-op and this refrigerator can't fit threw my doorway it is 30 inches wide. Lg don't sell smaller InstaViews for families that live in Co-ops and regular tenement blogs

Asked by: Saramae1
Hi Saramae. The most common and recommended practice for getting a refrigerator through an opening that is too narrow is to remove the handles or the doors and move the refrigerator sideways through that opening. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 22 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator, Model # LSXC22396S has a depth of 29 3/8" without its handles and a depth of 23 10/16" without the doors...^IFV

I cannot find the WiFi password to log into the fridge wifi, so that I can set it to my network. Anyone know the default password?

Asked by: MikeMattos
When you click WiFi followed by Settings you will need to locate the fridge. The password is the characters after LG_Smart_Fridge repeated twice. So for example LG_Smart_Fridge_D155 would be D155D155. ^CP

Freezer goes from -6 to 8...what is the optimum setting

Asked by: Sherry51
The default temperature settings for this unit would be 37 for the fresh food section and 0 for the freezer. If you wish to have an increase in ice production the optimal freezer setting for maximum ice production would be -4. The temperature in the refrigerator/freezer will fluctuate when the doors are opened and closed. Once the unit recognizes the temperature has increased beyond the desired setting, the compressor and fans will turn on to lower the temperature back to the desired settings.
