What people are saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't last long The freezer side of the appliance is not working properly now. Won't make ice and won't keep the temp even. AND the appliance is only 7 years old. I think for the price we paid it should last longer than 7 years.

Are there additional trouble shooting tips for water leaking out of filter? I have an LG replacement filter and it seems like it’s not getting a tight seal because the filter nose is too small

Asked by: Amanda Wiegand
Regrettably, there aren't any additional troubleshooting tips for water leaking out of the filter for the LG 26 cu. ft. Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LSXS26366S. Which water filter do you have? Have you checked to make sure that you removed the protective cover from the orings on the filter when you took it out from its packaging? Did you push the water filter into the manifold hole until it stopped with the water filter tabs in the horizontal position?...^Ivan

Does needing to replace the water filter cause the ice maker to stop making ice?

Asked by: El Camino
The ice will be smaller but it should not stop producing ice. Why is the water flow from the dispenser so slow. It takes a long time just to get a cup full (12oz).

Asked by: CCGar
You either have a clogged water filter or your water pressure is too low when the water flow for the water dispenser on the LG 26 cu. ft. Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LSXS26366D is slow or takes too long. The water pressure for the refrigerator must be between 40 and 120 psi on ( 276 – 827 kPa) or take less than 2-3 seconds to fill a 7 oz cup. The LG LT800P® - 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter for the refrigerator should be changed every 6 months, but depending on your water quality, you may need to change it sooner if you notice that the water flow has decreased...^Ivan

How come all the noise my refrigerator makes,it’s all coming from the freezer side, it swooshs, knocks, sometimes it sounds like it’s dropping marbles....very NOISEY

Asked by: Sparky mcgee
Under 'Noises' in the troubleshooting section on page 48 of your owner's manual for the LG 26 cu. ft. Door-in-Door® Refrigerator, Model # LSXS26366D is a list of noises and possible causes and solutions that you are likely to hear issuing from the refrigerator. Clicking sounds are caused by the defrost control that will click when the automatic defrost cycle begins and ends. The thermostat control (or refrigerator control on some models) will also click when cycling on and off That is normal. Rattling noises may come from the flow of refrigerant, the water line on the back of the unit, or items stored on top of or around the refrigerator. That is normal. Rattling sounds can also be caused if the refrigerator is not resting solidly on the floor due to a weak or uneven floor or that the leveling legs need to be adjusted. It can also be caused if the linear compressor is jarred while it is running. A whooshing sound is from when the evaporator fan motor is circulating air through the refrigerator and freezer compartments or is air is being forced over the condenser by the condenser fan and that is normal. Gurgling sounds are from refrigerators flowing through the cooling system and those are normal. Popping sounds are from the contraction and expansion of the inside walls due to temperature changes. Sizzling sounds are from water dripping on the defrost heater during a defrost cycle. These are also normal. If the side or back of the refrigerator is touching a cabinet or wall, some of the normal vibrations may become audible. Dripping sounds are normal and are due to water running into the drain pan during a defrost cycle. A high pulsating or high-pitched sound is also normal. The refrigerator is designed to run more efficiently to keep your food items at the desired temperature. The high-efficiency compressor may cause your new refrigerator to run longer than your old one, but it is still more energy-efficient than previous models. While the refrigerator is running, it is normal to hear a pulsating or high-pitched sound...^IFV
