Clicking sounds are caused by the defrost control that will click when the automatic defrost cycle begins and ends. The thermostat control (or refrigerator control on some models) will also click when cycling on and off That is normal. Rattling noises may come from the flow of refrigerant, the water line on the back of the unit, or items stored on top of or around the refrigerator. That is normal. Rattling sounds can also be caused if the refrigerator is not resting solidly on the floor due to a weak or uneven floor or that the leveling legs need to be adjusted. It can also be caused if the linear compressor is jarred while it is running.
