If it is required to modify any of the installation materials
If the height of the window frame is 90 cm (35.43in) or smaller, you can modify the installation stand as follows: (Required tools: Tape measure, saw, drill)
Once the installation kit is cut, the kit is not restored, and it is not possible to install the product with the extended installation stand in such a case.
➔ Standard installation stand (90 cm/ 35.43in)
- Cut the stand by required length.
- Cut the stand in length shorter than the height of the window frame by 1.5-2.0cm (0.59~0.78in) to secure a space for attachment of the window frame holder of the installation kit.
Example: If the height of the window frame is 80cm (31.49in), cut the installation stand in length of 78cm (30.70in). / Required tool: Tape measure
➔ Discharge hose
- The maximum length is 1.7m(5.57ft).
- The 2m(6.56ft) discharge hose is optional, and available at the service center. (Part No.: MEJ64164703)
- Modifying and extension of the discharge hose are not possible.
- Replacement of damaged discharge hose is only allowed.
The discharge hose should be installed as short as possible to keep cooling capability minimal, and efficiency maximal.
Note, however, that the least distance between the product and the wall should be secured.
Guide for replacement of the discharge hose
1. Turn the parts on the both ends clockwise to remove them.
2. Extend the both ends of the replacement intermediate part by 3 to 4 pitches.
3. Turn the parts on the both ends counterclockwise to assemble them.
(It is allowed to turn the intermediate hose to disassemble and assemble it if the bottom part is not removed.)
