LG makes it easy to diagnose problems with your microwave, should you run into any issues. If an issue occurs, the microwave is programmed to communicate diagnostic messages, displayed as codes, that can assist you, or a technician, in getting the unit back to optimum performance.

LOC Error Code
LOC indicates the lock function is turned on.
This feature is designed to prevent unwanted microwave operations.
To cancel, press and hold STOP/CLEAR unit LOC disappears on the display.
F1 Error Code
F1 indicates a problem with the mainboard.

F2 Error Code
F2 indicates a problem with the thermistor causing the temperature in the unit to be out of range.

F3 Error Code
F3 indicates a problem with the control panel.

F4 Error Code
F4 indicates a Humidity Sensor Error.

F5 Error Code
F5 indicates a Damper Switch Error.

F11 Error Code
F11 indicates an inverter communication error.

F13/F14/F15 Error Codes
F13 indicates a voltage error.
This error code will require service to resolve. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.
F16 Error Code
F16 indicates a heating issue was detected.
This error code will require service to resolve. Please visit our Request a Repair page for further assistance.
F17 Error Code
F17 indicates a problem with the temperature sensor.

F19 Error Code
F19 indicates a heating issue was detected.

12H Code
12H is not an error but indicates the clock needs to be set to 12H (AM/PM) or 24H (Military Time) clock mode.
How to Set Clock Mode:

Open the microwave oven door

Press the + button repeatedly to toggle between the 24-hour and 12-hour clock mode.

Press Enter to set the clock mode
How to Set the Time:
-
Once 12H or 24H has been selected.
-
Press + or - to select the desired hour.

Press Enter to set the hour,
-
press + or - to select the desired minutes
-
Press Enter to finish.
24H Code

DOOR Code
DOOR indicates a problem with the door not being closed or the door latch not being engaged.
To Resolve: -
Be sure no packing or foreign material is preventing the door from latching.

Close the door firmly.

If using a cooking rack, be sure it is not out of position and not preventing the door from closing.
