    Excellent phone
This phone is great. I love all the features that the phone has. My favorite is the fingerprint recognition. I've gotten used to this feature and I would have given 5 stars but my fingerprint feature is glitchy now and upon reporting the issue to LG, I have to do a hard reset on my phone to hopefully fix the issue. I haven't had the time to do this & I actually don't want to deal with it but LG says it should fix the issue. Just bummed that I have to go through the trouble. Other than that, I ... read more really enjoy this phone and always get compliments from my photos. I love the wide angle lens on this thing too!

    Fantastic Phone!
I ended up getting this phone on my upgrade at the suggestion of a friend and I positively loved it. It wasn't a big as my previous phone but, it was still awesome. I'm going to continue to purchase LG V line for now on.

    Really excellent phone
It's hard to criticize this phone...I guess the one thing is it's lack of QI charging, but that's really a secondary feature. Physically, the design is beautifully thin and the build is super tight...obvious quality, nicer than an iphone IMO. Operationally with its processor and 8.1 it runs fast and very reliably. The screen isn't OLED but it's very clear and nice...we're talking about a mid-price phone. Haven't had a problem with any feature, nothing at all...and that in itself is unusual ... read more enough to be worth 4 stars.

    I miss wireless QI charging
I googled this phone and read reviews that all of the LG Q7 phones could charge wirelessly. WRONG. Very disappointed.

Underrated phone. Excellent value. Fast. Glorious.
Going on my 3rd week with the phone, having updated from a LG G5. I had narrowed down my selection to this due to the bargain pricing, the Samsung S10 options or the the OnePlus phones. I could not justify buying a refurbished S10 for $100 over the price of this phone, and the reliability/support of the One Plus lost out. I am very happy with the speed and beautiful screen, as well as battery life. It is not uncommon to get 3 days out of light to medium texting on a charge. Camera is excellent. ... read more LG upgraded me to Android 10 within a week of activating the unlocked phone. Don't get a phone with anything but Android 10, you will never go back. The only complaint thus far is missing the flashing LED for messages on the front of the phone. Also the ability to have a reminder go off every three minutes for unchecked messages is gone on the current operating system. also wouldn't have minded an extra 3/8" of diagonal screen size, but the size utilizes almost all of the screen front well, and the phone still fits in my shirt pocket while at work. Overall, bargain of the year phone, and paying 300 to 400 less for a flagship will allow me to justify upgrading in 2-3 years from now, not so if I dropped hundreds more on the alternative level phones. I DO NOT us any gestures to control the phone.

    LG ROCKS!!
I was lucky and found a BOGO special on LG.com for their LG G8 Thinq through T Mobile. I received two flagship phones and two unlimited lines packed with premium extras for just over $100/month total with all taxes and fees included! That is less a than $10 more than I had been paying for a single device and a single phone line. My new device is awesome! My phone service is awesome and the price is not to be believed! Thank you LG and T Mobile, this is a fantastic deal with no downside.

Nice, but NO Visual Voicemail on unlocked on AT&T
Great phone so far for this LG G8 ThinQ model. I purchased the "Unlocked" version, and I use AT&T across off of the phone we have in the family. I was surprised to learn that the typical visual voice mail app that AT&T provides on the LG G8 ThinQ phone that AT&T sells comes with a supplied Visual Voice mail app, and on the Unlocked version it is not available. I went to the google play store and there is NO version of firmware for the LG G8 ThinQ anywhere to be found for AT&T customers. Looks ... read more like T-Mobile and Verizon have it posted on the google store, by AT&T is totally missing. What's up with that. One should be able to download the applicable app easily, but for some reason AT&T is not posting the Visual Voicemail app for this LG G8 ThinQ phone. This is impacting customer satisfaction for both LG and AT&T. BTW - my iphones have had perfect working Visual Voicemail for about 4 years now. One iPhone was bought as an AT&T phone and iPhone is unlocked and we had no issues downloading Visual Voicemail to work on the iPhone. LG and AT&T need to work better together to make sure there is a Visual Voicemail app that can be downloaded from the Google play store specific to the LG G8 ThinkQ. Again, this should NOT be an issue I should need to mention and LG should lean in to AT&T and get this corrected and the Visual Voicemail app made available.

I was happy with my phone until mid December 2019. I began having problems with people hearing me. At the verizon store I was told the speaker wasn't working properly. Since it wasn't even 2 years old i began a claim with LG second year promise. Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. I had to go through things twice in order for them to process the claim. It finally was approved and im waiting for the return postage to be sent to me. Wish me luck!

    Outstanding cell phone
It's been a month or two, I am using LG7. Well I am aware that newer model of G series there but must admit lots of features are in G7 and I really enjoyed it. This is the first time I switch to LG from other brand like Samsung. I used to be iPhone user then switched to samsung for many years. Now I am using LG G7 which is one awesome phone with many features. I wish I win this 500 dollar so I can upgrade my G7 to G8. Thank you LG for giving us this wonderful phone.

    Good phone
I bought this over a year ago, had a couple small issues, but the LG customer care team have been very helpful. Really enjoy the flat screen vs "infinity" style screens.

    Another LG Success
I've been with LG for a long time now. My last 4 phones and the V40 Thinq makes my 5th LG and it won't be my last! I had upgraded my son's V20 in June and couldn't get to my upgrade quickly enough! I love the V40 it's retained some more user friendly features from the V20 that were not so hot on the V30. So far it's an amazing phone and I'm in no way disappointed. One thing I wish LG did was partner up with Otter Box for their cases! I want color options!! All 3 phones on my plan are the same ... read more phone in the same case, that's how much we love LG & Otter Box and it's been this way with every single upgrade. I'm pleased that the V40 had and Other box because V20 and V30 didn't. Maybe offer a purchase combo!? I can't see me ever not getting the phone with the case and it would make upgrading a better experience.

    Very easy to use!
I bought this model only because I was in desperate need of a new phone! I'm a longtime user of LG smartphones and I think one other flip phone from years ago. I love all things LG but have only been a cellphone purchaser. I love this phone! It's fast and extremely easy to use! You kept a lot of the same features as the LG G series, for which I have had three different types G3, G4, and G5. But this V40 series is awesome. I had read some reviews about the V series phones and they weren't all ... read more that impressive but I read one on the V40 and I was excited about it. So thank you for making another solid phone for me!

    Yes. Finally.
I'm easily annoyed by everything when I get new tech. My last phone (Samsung S8) I wanted to throw into a river. The only phone I was ever 100% happy with was the HTC One, which unfortunately died soon after my purchase many years ago. I had the opportunity to get a new device while my S8 was still being paid off. I did a ton of research and went with the new LG. It's now been over 6 months and I'm comfortable saying I'm only buying LG products from here on out. It works. They haven't ... read more compromised the phone's performance by allowing partner companies to litter it with bloatware. No nannyware. No Bixby. The speakers work properly. The mic is excellent. The cameras are fantastic. It's the perfect size. It charges quickly and lasts forever. It's the perfect phone. Well done and thank you.
