What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Recommended I bought this machine back on May 2021 because it features offered besides the measurements it was perfect for my space but after 3 moths of use the headaches started. The machine was not drying well and I had to keep hanging my cloth to dry it out even if it was a very small load, in summer time I usually wear gym cloth specially now that I'm working from home. Since weather change and I started to use light hoodies and long sleeve shirts the problem got worse and the machine wasn't draining very well, I contacted LG since the store didn't take it back because return policy for appliances was over and they keep sending me techs which are subcontractors in your area to replace parts, they changed the thermostat for a 2nd time on 11/10/21 and the last tech came on 11/19/21 because after my load finished washing a odor started coming out and my cloth smell so bad (by the way the drying problem still not fixed) so I been told from the tech that because it doesn't have a vent (machine is vent-less) the condensation stuck on pipes and created the issue so I have to wash the machine with special washer machine cleaner 1-2 time a month and the drying time is up to 4 hours which I feel is ridiculous to waste energy like that for small load of cloth and the issue is already reflected it on my electrical bill, so over all not recommend it, so far still waiting on LG to give me a resolution before my warranty ends but if you like to give it a try GOOD LUCK.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUYYYYY THIS WASHER DRYER!!!!!!! REFUND ME I don't even know where to start with my complaints. First off it took FOREVER to get because LG decides to us Costco Logistics to deliver their appliances and "Logistics" is the last thing they should call themselves because they cant figure out how to do anything efficiently. We got alerts for our delivery window 12 hours AFTER they were going to deliver it. Now once we got the unit here it took forever to figure out the wifi connectivity because there isn't a spot in their manual on walking you through connecting it and the App doesn't do a great job either being clear. Once we got it connected we realized that we have to physically be next to the device to turn on the "remote" access on the unit to use the App EVERY TIME we want to use it according to tech support. AND the device turns itself off after 15 minutes of running the cycle so unless you are watching your phone like a hawk and turn the dry cycle on for another run (because it takes several cycles to get the unit to dry the clothes) it will turn itself off and you can't remotely access the unit till you go turn it back on. This is the UN-Smartest "smart appliance" that has ever existed. Don't try getting anything solved via tech support either because you'll be on hold for 1.5 hours every time and they are so beyond clueless. They don't even know what unit is being discussed. They just blindly throw out excuses that has nothing to do with the unit in question. I HATE LG WITH ALL MY MIGHT.... I REGRET THIS PURCHASE AND I REGRET LG EXISTING ON THIS EARTH!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a small NYC apartment Ive owned this unit for 6 months now. Was hesitant to get a combo washer/dryer due to many online reviews complaining about items being damp and the long time it takes to finish a cycle. Here’s my experience, doing laundry for one: it’s a pretty good machine for small loads. No complaints about the washing. And if you actually follow the drying limit (indicated in the machine), it does a pretty good job drying the typical clothes load. Clothes come out only damp enough for you to shake them off and they’ll be dry by the time you fold them. I imagine people complaining in other reviews are overstuffing their machine, or are washing dense and absorbent items like quilts or duvets, which the machine indeed won’t be able to fully dry in one cycle. I love not having to move wet laundry from the washer to the dryer. A cycle does take about 3 hours to complete, but in my experience that’s a matter of planning your day better. I sometimes set a timer for the laundry to be ready when I wake up. I not only don’t regret it but also feel glad I chose this all-in-one instead of separate units.

I live in a two bedroom condomiunium/apartment.  How and where do you drain the water from the washer?  Can I use my bathroom sink or shower stall?

Asked by: Batesari
Depending on where you install the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3499HVA, you can drain it through a kitchen sink, your bathroom sink. Draining portable washers into a bathroom or kitchen sink is allowed, and the faucet adapter will work with most kitchen sinks. However, use caution to make sure the sink can hold and drain the amount of water pumped from the washer. Your sink must have the capability of holding at least 15 gallons, minus the drain rate (typically 7 gpm in a normal sink). Kitchen sinks are deep enough to hold this amount of water, but splash out may be an issue with bathroom sinks because of their shape and depth. A shallow bathroom sink will likely be unable to handle the amount of water from the washer. A utility sink would be the better option...^IFV

How long does a cycle take? Can you do a set of sheets and pillowcases at the same time?

Asked by: Greta plaid
Cycle times for the LG 2.3 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Compact All-In-One Washer/Dryer, Model # WM3499HVA will depend on your water pressure, the type and amount of your load, and on your chosen additional options. Each cycle has preset settings that are selected automatically. When you select a cycle, the washer will initially show the cycle time for the cycle with its preset settings. You may also customize the settings using the cycle modifier buttons. If you customize the settings, the cycle time will change depending on your chosen settings and options. When you press the Start/Pause button to start the washing cycle, the washer will agitate briefly without water to weigh the size of your load and the cycle time will change again and the washer automatically adjusts the water level for the type and size of wash load for best results and maximum efficiency. The Bulky/Large cycle is for washing blankets or bulky items and can be used to easily wash a set of sheets and pillowcases at the same time...^IFV

Asked by: GolferJ
To perform a DRY ONLY cycle on the LG 2.3 cu.ft.
