Rated 1 out of 5 by from Washed clothes = DIRTY CLOTHES I concur with a fellow reviewer - I've had this washer machine for almost a year and I'm very unhappy. My experience has been a bit different - 1) It does NOT DO an adequate job cleaning the laundry; 2) it DOES NOT DO a good for removing odors and stains. 3) Because the drum is small this model is not good for cleaning bath and bed linen. 4) This washer machine is loud, 5) The stackable dryer door opens opposite to the washer door with no option to relocate the door to the other side of the opening, so when stacked, the washer door open opposite from the dryer, which I could deal with -- if the washer cleaned clothes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lighted dial or not This is the second machine I’ve been delivered in two weeks by Home Depot. The first one would only work on the cotton cycle it would not select any other cycle. Spoke with an LG tech on the phone and they said indeed there was a problem with that machine. That machine was returned and I received a new one. On this latest machine, when I turn the dial only some of the lights illuminate the cycles. Is this normal for this model? I read nothing in the manual about this. I was on the phone with Home Depot for over two hours yesterday - on hold and finally just gave up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Avoid This Model This is my second LG front loading washer machine. My previous one is model #LG WM3170CW. I loved my first LG washer machine however I could not take it with me because I moved from an apartment to a house. My current laundry room space is limited therefore I thought this compact LG washer machine would be the best fit. I've had this washer machine for almost a 1 1/2 years and I'm very unhappy with it for the following reasons: 1) It does an adequate job cleaning the laundry; it is not good for removing odors and stains. 2) Because the drum is small this model is not good for cleaning bath and bed linen. 3) During the spin cycle, if the load is not a certain weight, the machine dances across the floor. 4) This washer machine is loud, I can hear it on the second floor of my home. The laundry room is located on the first floor. 5) This particular model does not have a pedestal therefore the user almost have to get down on their knees to add/remove a load, which is very uncomfortable. I called Home Depot 2 weeks after my purchase inquiring about exchanging the compact washer machine for a larger model. Because I was given misinformation by a Home Depot representative, I missed my opportunity to exchange my current LG washer machine for a larger machine. I am now on the market for a larger LG washer machine.

Can I supply this washer cold water only? If so do I supply it to both cold and hot water inlets or only to the cold water inlet? Thanks

You have to connect the cold water supply to both water inlets on the LG 2.3 cu. ft. Capacity 24” Compact Front Load Washer w/ NFC Tag On, Model # WM1388HW if you are only intending to use cold water with the washer...^IFV

I am looking at compact washer model WM1388HW. On the LG website it says this model is 2.3 Cu. Ft. On the Best Buy website it says this same model number is 2.2 Cu. Ft. Are these the same washer or are they different?

does the depth of the LG compact washerWM1388HW include the hoses or is additional depth required?

The listed depth of 25 1/4" for the LG 2.3 cu. ft. Capacity 24” Compact Front Load Washer w/ NFC Tag On, Model # WM1388HW does not include the hoses. The machine has been tested with an installation clearance of 1" for the rear and 1" on the sides, but you may require more space for wall, door, or floor moldings...^IFV
