What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from had it 4 hours and I'm in Love I'm using two PC's a lenovo win 7 machine with a TB1 out and a Dell desktop with DP out. Looks amazing. Fits my purposes perfectly. I don't care but there is minor ghosting that does not effect my experience. Beautiful Panel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strong image retention (burn-in) Soon after buying this monitor I noticed some flickering pixels, noticeable on black screen. Then I noticed some image retention, wich is a much bigger problem. A month later both problems got much worse! I have issued RMA, and recently got a replacement. The same exact problem! Very disappointed :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great displaty, resolution could be higher Great display, however the detail could be better and lacks USB-C input. Need to wait on the 38" Thunderbolt 3 display coming out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it Pros: Nice design (probably nicest screen nowadays). Got used to the curve quickly. First hour you think you're going to screw off your head but after 2 days it's ok and going back to 24" feels like looking through a keyhole. No black bleeding. No calibration was needed. Sharp text (i'm a programmer). No flickering in movies (linux 3.4, X, DisplayPort). I compared it with Samsung 34" ultrawide and that one had heavy flickering when connected to the same laptop. Cons: I would prefer if the stand could move lower and higher, turn left and right, if it had VESA 200. And if the menu button was on the back - after 30 seconds of holding your hand like that starts to hurt. The earphones output could be on a side - reaching to the back for un/plug is clumsy. I didn't figure out how to play sound. There's no standalone audio input? The silver stand might be nice but as its wide and doesn't hide behind my laptop, it's kind of distracting bright spot in my lower distal view. But that's specific to my setup. Conclusion: Probably the best WQHD screen. I'd even go for 38" if I had the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for everything!!! I now own three of these monitors for my gaming and productivity setup. The response time is crisp, and I barely notice the difference from my recent 1 ms monitor. It is the best monitor I have ever owned and I don't know if there is a better one out there

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great 34" I bought this for day trading to see my charts better. I used it on my 2013 iMac Pro retina (early) and my 2014 iMac 27" without issue. Also had 3rd monitors hooked up to both machines. There were a few quirks at times (it would wake up and be blank often and I had to put the mac to sleep and wake it up again to get the monitor to display, and it would also tend to change the background resolution). These issues were unique to this monitor, so not sure what's up with that - I think it it wakes in a different resoltion then changes because on my win 10 machine when I wake it up the windows are all smaller than I left them, as if the resolution changed.). Regardless the monitor is one of my favorites. Not a clean and crisp as my imac27 or thunderbolt monitor, but a really good monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor! I purchased this monitor a week ago because of a recommendation from AMD, after they gave me their top GPU. I most say it has exceeded my expectations on ever respect: quality, picture quality, aesthetics and form factor.

So I have a classroom with a projector and six 40" displays around the room. Can this display project an image to the projector and displays while allowing me to continue working on the other side?

Asked by: Groves
I apologize, but no; according to the information listed in the owner’s manual, it appears that all ports on this monitor are INPUT jacks. Each will receive a signal, such as a PC, but will not output a signal to another device.

Hi, I have just setup my 34UC98-W monitor, however, my display settings show a maximum refresh rate of 50 Hertz (PAL). How do I get it to display 60 Hertz? Mac OS X 10.10.5. Thanks

Asked by: Fabs
The LG 34" Class 21:9 UltraWide® WQHD IPS Thunderbolt™ Curved LED Monitor (34" Diagonal), Model # 34UC98-W has a native refresha rate of 60 Hz. If you are only getting 50 Hz then you may want to access access the Screen resolution through the control panel for your PC and change the screen refresh rate from there. You should find it in Advanced Settings. Will there be a thunderbolt 3 version of this released? Or something with similar features?
