    Excellent ultra wide monitor
I used to have a dual 24" monitor setup, but the bezels in the center of the monitors prevented me from looking directly at my content. With the 34" LG Ultrawide, this is no longer a problem. I have enough screen real estate for a Safari tab open to browse the net, and sidebars for mail, messages, activity monitor, and photos all at the same time... without the distracting bezels of a dual monitor setup directly in front of my vision. For video editing, the 34" screen is amazing. Even though ... read more it's "only" 1080p, images, video, and even text are sharp. Highly recommended.

    Excellent Business Monitor
I've had the 34WK500-P for a few weeks. It is awesome! Setup was easy. The monitor is relatively light in weight. Great improvement in heat dissipation compared to my previouos monitor. Something to consider... There are many different configurations of a LG 34 inch monitor. Spend extra time ensuring your planned purchase has the inputs and features you need.

Objects are larger than they appear
This monitor has been a welcome addition to my desk. It is large, broad, and crisp for anything that I have done thus far. The multi-screen software is interesting but provides a HUGE array of options; though I rarely want everything to automatically snap to the full split (the only downside other than the interface looking out-dated). The only drawback is the one multi-function button for power, etc. It takes some effort to work it and to get to the correct options quickly (there are a lot) ... read more and it's placement at the bottom, while centered, takes some effort to manage. I don't have a CD player so updating the drivers to really optimize the monitor took a tad bit of effort, but, it connected and worked seamlessly with the Windows standard driver (just seems better with the LG driver). In short... wide, easily connected, clear picture... and at a good price.

    The Best Ultrawide Experience
I purchased this monitor after doing extensive research on which ultrawide monitor was the best fit for me. I decided on this one after finding its picture quality to be the most accurate without having too many pixels. This monitor has not disappointed and the screen split feature is a lifesaver.

    Widescreen Delite!
Gaming in all it's widescreen glory. No issues at all. Was even able to adjust the lower freesync range down to 30Hz... no tearing at all! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to enjoy the widescreen experience.

Great monitor for gaming and light productivity!
This monitor was super easy to setup and looks really nice with thin bezels. Over the month that I've had it I've had no issues. The monitor is best for gaming for most mid/upper-tier machines as the resolution bump from standard monitors is not as substantial, thus most AAA games should still run smoothly on high to highest settings. This does pretty well for light productivity, as the color accuracy is quite good and the extra screen real estate is quite useful. That being said, if the goal is ... read more primarily productivity, I would suggest a higher resolution panel as while I myself didn't have issues reading text, it would definitely be more crispy with a higher resolution panel. In terms of movie watching, you may end up with a letter-box effect, but that is due to the nature of support for ultrawides (or lack thereof) as a whole and not just specifically this panel itself.

    Nearly perfect
Gorgeous colors. 144hz + IPS + DCI-P3 + VRR is an amazing feature set and the LG 34GK950F-B delivers all of it! Shipped with zero dead or stuck pixels too! The only missing features I would like to see are under-monitor LED lighting like the acer x34 and true local dimming as defined by HDR standards. The DisplayPort cable that comes with the monitor isn't version 1.4 and can't support 144hz + 10bpp out of the box so you'll need to buy one.

Best 21:9 monitor even though no GSYNC
I’d been watching the price of this monitor ever since it was released. But a $1199, it was too steep a slope to climb. However, when it was reduced to $799, I HAD to buy it. The picture is beautiful, even without HDR. The Nvidia drivers recognize the monitor as GSYNC COMPATIBLE. And they are so right; no tearing or artifacts or WORSE using my EVGA RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. I also have no dead pixels. LG has even sent out two firmware changes since I got it. I’m happy to finally ... read more have a 21:9 monitor and I’m doubly happy that the games look so good on it. A must-Buy for widescreen aficionados !!!!!

    Great monitor for Everyone
I was super excited at the prospect of getting a new monitor. I’ve been into technology for quite some time, and getting a new piece is always exciting. I specifically chose this monitor because of its feature set, because compared to many other monitors of this class, it was a much better value. I looked at the HP Omen X 35, the Acer Predator X34, the ASUS PG348Q, and the Alienware AW3418DW, all of which have either a VA or IPS panels. I really considered the refresh rate a lot when making my ... read more decision. The LG 34GK950F-B checked all the boxes for me. It has a 144hz refresh rate, HDR 400 certification and Radeon Freesync 2. I didn’t really like the ASUS monitor and the Acer monitor because of how they looked, but the HP looked really nice. It has a VA panel, but I was willing to overlook it for the GSync support and the way it looked. All of the monitors listed had a resolution of 3440x1440 and a refresh rate of 100hz. The Alienware has an IPS panel and a refresh rate of 120hz, which was compelling, except when I realized that it was too wide to fit on my desk comfortably. That checked that monitor off the list. Then I saw this monitor. I wasn’t crazy about the looks, especially the red accents on the stand, but I consider functionality to be more important than the way it looks, and the high refresh rate of 144hz and the IPS panel made it a no brainer. I really appreciate LG’s OSD and the way it works. I like the joystick method of navigating over the buttons of competing monitors. On top of that, it has 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 HDMI ports. I really wanted USB-C because I was planning to use this with my MacBook Pro as well, but it’s not too big of a deal. The curve makes a big difference and the 21:9 aspect ratio makes productivity way easier. I play a lot of video games, including Brawlhalla, Minecraft, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. The high refresh rate of the monitor makes playing games much better and more enjoyable and the 21:9 aspect ratio allows you to see 20% more content than a 16:9 screen. The low input lag and the amazing colors make viewing content amazing too. I don’t have many complaints, because this monitor is extremely well built and offers lots of adjustments in the form of swivel, height and tilt adjustments. One issue that I had was a dead pixel on the right side of the screen. I was able to fix it by applying pressure to the panel. I also noticed quite a bit of IPS glow on the corners, which is to be expected, but is still worth noting. I’m also not crazy about the red colors, as I prefer to have my monitors be color neutral to match any setup. If there is one feature that it doesn’t have that I would really like is USB-C ports on the back. As I said, I use a MacBook Pro to edit videos and I would appreciate it if I could just plug one cable into it for video and power. Other than that, this monitor was amazing and I haven’t had any significant problems yet. I would highly recommend this to anyone searching for an ultra wide monitor with high refresh rate, and good color accuracy. I love using it every day and would highly recommend that anyone looking for this type of monitor to buy it.

    I am impressed
I was very hesitant about buying this monitor (it is expensive) but now that I have it, i absolutely love it. I use it with a macbook pro 2017 and I only need one cable because the monitor charges the computer with the USB-C cable that is used to transfer the image to the monitor. Sound is good, image is great, colors are nice. Very very happy with this.

This is one beautiful ultra wide screen
I bought this monitor a few days ago and have been very happy with the screen. I think, it is taken for granted that the screen has to be awesome, so I am not going to cover that since that has blown my mind away. What I want to commend and this is totally worth every penny I paid for this monitor is the awesome 10Wx2 speakers. Good treble and superb bass. This is TV quality speakers built into the monitor. And I am using a DisplayPort (or USB-C) which also automagically drive sound output as ... read more well, so there's one less cable. Playing games on this screen sounds so amazing and immersive. I just can't praise it enough. The other point I wanted to praise is the USB-C port. It charges my 2017 MacBook Pro Escape and it also drives display and sound. Once less charger to bring back from office. I could just come home and plug the USB-C into the MacBook Pro and voila! Highly recommended!!

Nice to see so much at a glance
I've been running with six apps open and it's so very nice to be able to see to much at a glance. When working on writing my book I can have my outline, mind map, internet research, thesaurus, and writing software (Scrivener) at the same time and even many more if I need them. I am extremely pleased. I'm using this monitor with a 2018 MacBook Pro and everything has been effortless plug and play. Works right out of the box first time with no hitches.

29WK500-P is a step up and almost a home run
Overall the display is a good value as an entry level 21:9 monitor. I would have preferred the 32" variant of this monitor but space constraints caused by the stand not allowing monitor to be placed lower than 3 3/4" from my desk I was unable to do so. A height adjustment to allow a min. distance of 2" to allow for air flow would be welcome. The second and most annoying issue is the stupid control joystick and the even worse on screen software setting controls. The software suite is laughable ... read more in it's non-functionality and the joystick is touchy as heck and very limited in function as well. A bank of control buttons along the right or bottom edge would be superior. I am sure the engineers were "very excited" to install this annoyance almost as much as engineers loved the stupid laptop pointer button of years past. I do hope the cheaper joystick allowed the LG CEO more money to buy golf balls (Grinning) because I cannot see where this "feature" can be considered a user benefit. Aside from those issues the monitor meets my needs and the display is what I expected for the price point as long as I don't have to change the display settings I'll get by.

Great Monitor No Issues Macbook Pro
Running macOS10.14.3 on my MacBook Pro 15" 2018 no issues pushing the full res 5120x1440 with the single USB-C cable provided. I've seen alot of reviews saying there are issues and it appears to be something on the apple devices that don't have dedicated video on them. I suspect it's more of a firmware issue or hardware limitation. My only complaint about this monitor and some others LG produce is the white back of the monitor I prefer a darker color. But even if you don't mind the white its odd ... read more they went with some kinda gold/brown color on the actual stand. Also it would have been nicer if the audio out jack wasn't on the side or there was one on the side and one on the back as I use this for my speakers and hate having a cable on the side of my monitor.

Really good monitor I use it for day trading
Bought 2 monitors for day trading. Best investment ever. The screen is so crisp..amazing screen resolution. Make sure you use the display port not the HDMI...to get the full 5K you also need to buy a really good nvedia graphics card that has 2 display ports and supports 5K resolution. When you buy the monitor the manual shows which graphic card it supports or you can download it online beforehand. I did not use a stand for this I just placed the monitor on top of a desktop computer and an ... read more old subwoofer... I put a notebook underneath the desktop computer to balance the height with the sub woofer... It was really hard to find a stand the support the weight of a wide screen monitor

    Lacking Industry Accessories
Amazing monitor. I use this on a daily basis and have no complaints at all. The issue I have with owning a 49" monitor is that compatible products are not yet in this industry. Finding a 49" desktop arm mount is impossible. The stock stand is sleek but the computer can be found "shaking" if you bump your desk or move it even slightly. The stability is the only thing lacking for this setup. Additional options to mount this massive beauty should be available or at least linked out to a ... read more company that does offer a compatible and sleek mount.

    Where is the 2560 x 1080 Resolution ?
Most of my work on a computer is using spreadsheets. It took me two years to finally decide to purchase this wide screen model. The best resolution setting I have been able to get out of my Windows 10 desktop is 1920 x 1080. The monitor is nice and clear but I have 2" of dark bar on each side of the screen. Trying to find a fix for this problem on the internet just seems to take me in circles. :-(
