[LG Dryer noise] [Electric heat pump] When the power button is pressed it makes a tapping sound (LEV noise)

Troubleshooting

Tapping sounds that last about 10 seconds during the initial startup of the machine are normal. The noise is produced during operation by the control valve in the automatic cleaning system located inside the product.

What is an LEV?
An electric expansion valve that is used to convert the pressure of the refrigerant used for drying.
During the operation of the product, a slight noise may occur during the process of converting high-pressure refrigerant into low-pressure; this is a normal operating sound.

Try this

The tapping noise that occurs during the initial startup of the product is caused by the LEV, and it is normal.
To confirm if the noise is from an LEV, listen to whether the same noise occurs while the product's power is turned ON without pressing the Start/Pause button.
If you hear the same sound, it's LEV noise.
LEV noise may also occur during product operation, but cannot be heard due to the rotating sounds of the drum.
