Warranty Extension Campaign

Terms and Conditions:

This “LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd Warranty Extension Campaign” (“Campaign”) is sponsored by LG Electronics (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Company No. 505660-U) (“LGE”) subject to the Terms & Conditions herein.

1. 1. This Campaign will run from 1 July 2020 and expires on 31 August 2020 at [23:59] Malaysian time (“Campaign Period”).
2. 2. Eligible Participant(s): This Campaign is opened to legal residents of Malaysia above the age of 18 years whose name appears on the official receipt of LG Consumer Products purchased in Malaysia only. This Campaign is not applicable for LGE authorized retailers and partner agencies. For the avoidance of doubt, any purchase of overseas model and/or business model is not accepted. The Campaign is opened to individuals only. Corporate or other entities or groups are not eligible to participate. LGE reserves the right to verify an individual’s eligibility to entrants. The Campaign shall be void where restricted or prohibited by law.
3. 3. Additional Warranty : LGE shall provide additional warranty term of three (3) months which is calculated based on the product purchase date together with additional warranty offer notification received by Eligible Participant(s).
4. 1. 4. Products Eligible for Additional Warranty are as listed below:
   • a) Component/Portable/Cassette (AUD)
   • b) French Door(REF)
   • c) Front Loader(WM)
   • d) Home Theater(AUD)
   • e) Laundry Dryer(WM)
   • f) LCD/LED/OLED TV ( 33" and over )(TV)
   • g) LCD/LED/OLED TV ( 33" Under )(TV)
   • h) Monitor(MNT)
   • i) Side by Side(REF)
   • j) Single-Split Wall Mounted (with heater)(ACN)
   • k) Top Loader(WM)
   • l) Top/Bottom Mount(REF)
     
5. 1. 5. Products excluded from Additional Warranty are as per following :
   • a) Air Purifier and Water Purifier;
   • b) Data Storage [CD/DVD storage (CDM)];
   • c) Hand phone bearing LG logo [including Smart Phone/Emerging Device(MOB)];
   • d) Dish Washer(WM);
   • e) Vacuum Cleaner [VCC];
   • f) Microwave Oven [MWO];
   • g) Laptop bearing LG logo;
   • h) LG wireless earbuds.
     
6. 6. To stand a chance to obtain the Additional Warranty, the Eligible Participants are required to:-

• i) log into https://www.lg.com/my to register as LG.com user within Campaign Period under the tab “Sign Up”;
• ii) complete the registration by providing accurate details of the Eligible Participants especially by providing valid e-mail address and contact number;
• iii) Upload a scanned copy of the LG Product Receipt and input valid serial number of the Product purchased within the Campaign Period upon successfully register as LG.com user. The details uploaded is subject to LGEML verification;
• iv) The product warranty period is calculated based on the product purchase date.

7. LGE reserves the right to reject any registration under LG.com under the following circumstances:-

• i) where the registration as LG.com user is not submitted with the Product Receipt and valid serial number of the Product purchased;
• ii) if only booking/reservation fee has been made instead of full payment for the LG Product;
• iii) if the Registration is submitted late, i.e. any time after 31 August 2020 [23:59] shall be void;
• iv) If LGE suspects in its sole discretion that the registration as LG.com user or Product Receipt or Product Serial Number to be fraudulent in any way or otherwise;
• v) If Eligible Participant(s) purchases the LG Products through any online platform for items sold outside Malaysia shall be disqualified from participating in this Campaign. For avoidance of doubt, this Campaign is only applicable for LG Products purchased within Malaysia.

6. 8. Eligible Participants who have successfully registered as LG.com user and who are entitled to receive the Additional Warranty shall receive a notification from LGE either via Email or SMS.  
7. 9. This Campaign is not valid with other promotions, vouchers, discounts and/ or privileges card unless otherwise stated.
8. 10. If the Eligible Participant(s) cannot be reached within Seven (7) days from the date of notification, through the contact information provided at the time of registration, the Additional Warranty for that Eligible Participant(s) shall be forfeited.
9. 11. If an Eligible Participant(s) fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein, that Eligible Participant(s) shall be disqualified.
10. 12. LGE may at its sole and absolute discretion vary and/or add and/or amend this Campaign; or vary or suspend or terminate the Campaign or the terms and conditions connected thereto without any prior notice.
11. 13. The Additional Warranty is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Extended Warranty must be taken as offered and cannot be varied.
12. 14. LGE reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions herein without prior notice. In case of any dispute directly or indirectly arising from the Campaign, LGE’s decision is final and binding and no further correspondences or appeal shall be entertained.
13. 15. LGE shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) and/or personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this Campaign.
14. 16. By participating in this Campaign, each Eligible Participant agrees to release and hold LGE and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Campaign or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Additional Warranty or from any gift-related activity, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
15. 17. By participating in the Campaign, the Eligible Participants are deemed to have agreed and consented to the collection, processing, use, disclosure and retention by LG of your personal data in the manner as set out in the Personal Data Notice which can be viewed at https://www.lg.com/my/privacy.
16. 18. All pictures and/or images of the LG Product(s) and the Additional Warranty found in any advertising and marketing materials are for illustration purposes only and may be different from the actual products.
17. 19. The terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Campaign shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
