Very good unitBought this unit when the central HVAC went out in the house and I didn't want to be rushed into selecting the first offer to replace it. It worked fine to cool an area 250-300ft² (living room). A window unit (12,000btu) on the other side of house in an add on room kept that done of the house cool with a noticible warm space in the middle. Not a huge issue. Only complaint so far is that on high speed the unit is relatively noisy. After replacing the main HVAC we now use it for auxiliary cooling when guests are over. Unit is 3 years old with several hundred hours of use and still cools like new.

My LG Portable ACSince I got my LG portabe AC I have been able to work much longer during the summer time in my studio. My studio is in my basement, part of the basement is my laundry room as well. In the summer time it gets super hot and having digital equipment makes it very hard to work in. With my LG portable AC my studio is
kept cool all summer long. I have recommended all my family and friends to get one.

Same great features as our previous LGMy husband & I went washing machine shopping, as our previous LG died. I let him choose our new washer. He loves the soft-close lid. However, since the ‘keyboard’ is on the top front instead of the usual top back placement, it’s more difficult to reach over & retrieve clothing. Not a appliance for ‘short-armed’ people. Otherwise, fantastic machine

I have this unit it works fine when it is on and in any mode except the cool mode. When it is in the cool mode it works but makes a loud squealing noise almost like whining. Wondering how to troubleshoot it and fix it? And where i can get parts for it?

I have a unit. Not sure how to empty the water out...it's never indicated that it's full but we've had it running most of the summer for a few years now and the light never comes on... We tried opening the nozzle on the back but nothing came out... Help
Asked by: Hhelp
Hello, needing to drain the tank will depend on the humidity level in your area. When the internal water collection tank is full, FL will appear in the display and the air conditioner will turn off until the tank is emptied. ^AC

Is there a way to program in a temperature and lock it in so that it won’t turn on unless the room temperature is higher than the programmed temp? If so, please give specific instructions as to how to do so. Thank you
Asked by: Beth326
Yes, as per the manual on page 12, power on the unit, select COOL Mode, select the desired temperature you would like the room to be and the unit will run until the room reaches the desired temp and them will cycle on and off to maintain that set temp. ^AC

How can I take the water out?
Asked by: Faith6445
Unplug the air conditioner, disconnect the exhaust hose from the back, and move the air conditioner to a suitable drain location or outdoors. You may also place a pan under the drain that will hold up to 3 pints of water. Remove the drain cap and the rubber plug from the drain outlet. Once the water collection tank is drained, reinstall the rubber plug and the drain cap, making sure it is on securely. Place the air conditioner in the desired location, reconnect the exhaust hose, and plug in the air conditioner.

Not really an installation kind of person? Don’t worry. Most of us aren’t. That’s why we make portable air conditioners. This one has 8,000 BTUs, multiple fan speeds and even a programmable 24-hour timer. Which means you can control the temperature even when you’re not there. Cool, huh?
