Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for a year Bought the unit and it works decently. My apartment is less than 350sqft and it helps but doesn't totally cool the place off. When it works it works well enough. Easy to use. But after the warranty stops, then yep...no good. The compressor in mine and the cooling core are not talking to each other. Even after maintenance. The air it blows isn't not cold. The compressor doesn't make that "Brrroooowww" sound when it turns it turns on, and only half the vent blows cooler air. Draining the thing is terrible. It's heavy, awkward and make no sense, while having 2 ports to take water out is excellent and useful, you have to tip the thing, while holding it OVER something. At this weight it isn't a good design.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Water Overflow!!! I bought this product because I loved a similar ac my daughter purchased from LG. i got this particular model because it had a little more btu's. Boy did I ever make a mistake! Let me start with the positives. it's cute, not too big, and the price was right. As far as cooling - not bad, but it could be better. Doesn't cool as good as a lower btu ac I had. But fine. Now let me dig in... This ac is noisy. In fact it is so noisy I sometimes choose between listening to the tv and having the ac running. Next, the ventilation hose you need to attach come apart kind of easy. Also, the placement of the drain makes it difficult and inconvenient to get to. It's at the very bottom of the ac. You need to either lift up the ac (and it's kind of heavy) or place it on top of something to have a good enough access to release the water. on top of that, water comes out through the sides when you move it. But the most bothersome thing about this ac is the AMOUNT of water it produces. There is a ridiculous amount of water being produced by this thing. My daughter says she empties her ac monthly or less. If I use this ac, I'm emptying it DAILY!!! I don't leave my house with the ac running because I'm scared it will be water all over my floor when I come back! Until today this was the only ac in my house. I couldn't come home to a cool house like everybody else because of the water problem! I tried posting a review about it within the 1st month of owning it. They didn't post it.I complained about my ac and they didn't give me any option for it to get fixed even though it was under warranty. I love lg and their electronics and have not had a problem with any of them before this. But I am really left with a bad taste in my mouth after this experience. They don't want you to return the item to the store if you're having a problem with it, but that's just what I will do from now on after dealing with this.

We live in the northeast and use the product from mid-June to maybe mid-September. Not a long period and certainly not every day. After 1 year and 2 weeks (Summer 2015), the unit stopped blowing cold air. When I first contacted Customer Service, their response was out of warranty, contact a local repair shop. After a few additional emails, I finally heard from a more understanding rep and they covered the product. Well, less than a year later (Summer 2016), same issue again, unit only blowing hot air. Contacted Customer Service again and they refused to listen to my comments and just referred me to a local repair shop. They actually failed to respond to additional emails I sent. So, the quality of the Customer Service support matches the quality of the product I purchased. Both disappointing. It's now the Summer of 2017 and we have to decide whether to spend a couple hundred dollars to possibly fix or just to junk a lightly used, very expensive LG Portable AC unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from E1 Coming up on three years. Ran it during the summer. I was able to clear the first E1 stoppage. The second one seems to be stuck. It's best to do the hard reset before the 720 hour mark. Otherwise, you might find yourself in my situation. The compressor is good but some stupid sensor has blown.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product cools and works well This product really cools very well and doesn't leak or drip anywhere. I also like that it has a guard in the tubing so we don't have birds nesting in there. The blower is a little loud, but great overall.

i have just bought this item and i have it on air but i did that last night and it leaked water all out from the back and all over my bedroom floor ? so now i have a hose running from the top out Drain plug to drain the water as its in use. Help Plz

I got this system for free but on cool Mode nothing happens. Fan mode no spin. Dry mode I hear it turn but for 3 seconds n then it stops
