What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for temp fix! Our central AC went out--the compressor. Due to supply chain issues, it's been weeks without AC. It's fall but fall in KY is hot, cold & everything in between. I borrowed this from an in-law (thankfully!!) and it's been a life saver. Being part polar bear, and liking it cold in the house, was rough to manage recently but this is truly a God send.

Need to replace the vent hose for our unit. Where can we purchase one and what is the model number please?

Asked by: JKAF
You can get the hose at Home Depot. I had to replace mine and HD's works perfectly as a replacement

Goid Afternoon I need a replacement hose the LP1215GXR. I reached out to encompass and they no longer have that part. Can you give me the diameter and length for this part.  Need these measurements to look elsewhere please.

Asked by: Dh77
The flexible exhaust hose for the LG 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1215GXR has a diameter of 5" and a maximum length of 4.95' when fully extended. The length of the hose is specifically designed to the specifications of the unit & modifying the hose or using a longer hose cannot be used as that would cause the unit to malfunction...^Ivan

I currently have 2 issues. 1. My tank seems full and when I take the plug out to drain not much comes out and I can tell the tank is full. 2. There is a constant "running water" sound that comes from my unit.

Asked by: Tgallag
When the internal water tank is full in the LG 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1215GXR, "FL" will appear in the display on the unit and the air conditioner will turn off. If the water tank is not full yet, the "FL" will not appear in the display and the air conditioner does not turn off as designed. If you need further assistance with the unit, please contact the LG Support Center in Canada at https://www.lg.com/ca_en for assistance...^IFV

My air conditioner is blowing warm and filter is not dirty

Asked by: Mocha7170
There are a few reasons as to why your LG 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Model # LP1215GXR may be blowing warm air if you have cleaned the air filter. Check to make sure that there are no large obstructions situated in front of the unit that could hinder air flow into the unit. Your owner's manual advises to allow at least 20 inches (50.8 cm) of air space behind the unit for good air circulation. Check the exhaust hose and remove any obstructions inside the hose, and keep the hose unbent. Lightly vacuum the evaporator and condensing coils to remove any potential clogs. If the evaporator is frosted over, allow it to defrost before resuming operation. If doing the above does not remedy the situation, then the problem is most likely caused by faulty mechanisms. The fan motor may be blown, the compressor may be malfunctioning, the coolant may have run out, etc. If your fan motor does not work any longer and you do not want to hire a professional, it is possible to change motors by yourself. Find the motor that matches your unit and replace your broken fan motor. If you discover that your fan motor is down, you should replace it as soon as possible as it may burn out the compressor. If the problem lies with the compressor, chances are that the compressor is seized and is pulling on locked motor amperage until the compressor trips on internal overload. The only solution that deals with a malfunctioning compressor is buying a new one and replacing it, but as compressors usually cost two-thirds of a whole PAC unit, you might want to consider simply selling your old PAC unit to salvage places or dumping it out and purchasing a whole new unit. If the compressor is not working due to a blocked/damaged compressor-condensing coil or a broken cooling fan, either replace the component(s) or switch out your unit for a new one as those scenarios may eventually lead to overheating. If your PAC has run out of refrigerant/coolant, you can have it recharged by a qualified, licensed Air Conditioner Service Technician. Note that refrigerants are often costly, and if you do not want to spend money on refrigerant you may simply choose to purchase a whole new unit instead...^IFV

How do you drain the water out other machine

Asked by: Ladymaddoctor
Since the LG 12,000 BTU (7,000 BTU, DOE), 115-Volt Portable AC w/ Dehumidifier Function and LCD Remote in Graphite, Model # LP1215GXR or other Portable Air Conditioners are actually inside the room that you are cooling, they all require a hose to drain water to a suitable drain location or to the outside. Window Air Conditioner's and Through-the-Wall Air conditioners have part of the unit hanging on the outside of the structure and so they do not require a drain hose. You just have to install them with an appropriate backward sloe so they can drain naturally. This unit can be connected to a drain hose with 1/2" inside diameter.

I have a LP1215GXR unit. I need to buy another Drain Cap. I have looked on the website you suggested for parts but it appears they are only selling the rubber plug. I need the cap that goes over the rubber plug. Do you know where I can buy one?
