What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This thing is as useless as the beak on a Woodpeck It is as useless as a rubber beak on a Woodpecker. Worked for about a month then when I tried to use it it beeped and blinked and shut down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was good when it worked I really liked it until the beeping started. It's not that it was even over used, it just started beeping. Every 2 minutes or so there is a series of beeps and it is constant with not solution in sight. I'm in the process of having it removed and another brand installed. I would not choose an LG induction cooktop again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful constant battle with intermittent beeping and shutting off. Horrible experience, makes me question this company's product as they were never able to help resolve for such an expensive item.

I have an lg range, P/NO: MBM41405701. It gives about 10 rapid beeps intermittently. I've turned off the circuit breakers, but that didn't help. Please advise. It's driving us nuts. --j.c.

What is the weight capacity of the cook tops? Is it different for each model, why model has the highest capabilities?

Asked by: Tamieka 72
Technically, there is no weight limit for the LG 30" Electric Induction Cooktop, Model # LCE30845 or other cooktops. However, because cooktops see a lot of action, they are designed to survive extreme temperature fluxes, heavy pots and pans and the daily wear for a long period of time. UL standards require that they pass ball-drop impact tests in which testers drop a 2 inch steel ball weighing 1 18 pounds from a height of 20.25 inches directly onto the cooktop surface. The glass-ceramic must withstand the impact of the ball without breaking and without experiencing line leakage greater than 5.0 MA in order to make it to market. How long does it take for the heating element to turn off/coold down. Has said HS for over 10 minutes

Asked by: Lisa g
Regrettably there is not way of determining how long it takes for the heating element on the LG 30" Electric Induction Cooktop, Model # LCE30845 to cool down. That will depend on the external temperature, it will cool sooner in cooler climate than on warmer days and it will also depend on what the power setting is. the higher the poersetting the longer it will take to cool down. The residual Heat Indicator is designed to warn you that the area has been used and is still giving off enough heat to cause burns and you should avoid touching the burner when the indicator is showing. Although the cooktop is off, the indicator will stay lit until the cooktop has cooled down...^IFV

ive had the cooktop for over 5 years now and it's had the large burner coil changed once within 6 months of being new.  Now I notice the pan is not getting hot on the larger burner again.  I have a feeling it's dying again. Where can I get a new part?

If the unit is 2 3/16 high and requires that nothing be closer than 2 3/4 from the bottom, the effective height is nearly 5", is that correct?

Asked by: Grub
That would be one way of looking at it. If you are adding the height of the LG 30" Electric Induction Cooktop, Model # LCE30845 to the required clearance between the cooktop and the oven then 2 3/26" + 2 3/4" adds up to 4 15/16" which if rounded off to the nearest whole number is 5...^IFV

My LG 30845 sounds a series of beeps repeatedly with no error codes showing.

I'm able to turn the cook top on and cook food. There is a small crack at the upper right corner of the ceramic top but not near the "burner". The manual does not address the beeping without error codes appearing.
