What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice stove however, Difficult to clean surface glass, in spite of following all suggestions by LG. Many repeated washings, scrubbings, etc. I do not like glass surfaces at all! The glass surface destroys the fun of cooking. Also, the position of the range knobs can easily lead to accidental turn on of the stove or burners

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oven is spacious and everything is easy to use We looked at other ovens/ranges and they were really complicated to use--not this one! The nobs are clearly marked and I can read it without my reading glasses; oven heats up to temperature very quickly too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A WHOLE New Cooking Experience I wanted to buy my husband a new stove. Our old stove was about 20 years old, and he really hated it. Using this LG stove is like coming out of the dark ages....and even I have used it. First, the front burners have two sizes, so you can match them to the proper pan size. All the burners hold heat to the correct level that you set it at, which is great for things like sauteing without burning or ending up steaming the veggies. I also like the warming burner -- it means if you misjudge how long something will take, the other pan stays warm and doesn't burn. My "cooking" is generally limited to heating up soup from a can, but this stove has encouraged me to try things, and I've found that I can now not only saute vegetables, but also make stir fry. My husband says it's great for all his sauces and soups (he only makes from scratch!) as well as all his breakfast foods. What I don't like about the stovetop (and why 4 stars instead of 5) is that it's hard to keep clean. The instruction manual says you have to clean it EVERY DAY -- and you really do. As for the oven - having the heating element in the back instead of the bottom, with an integrated fan makes baking different. My husband, who bakes bread every few days has had to adjust his recipes because he was used to an oven that dropped temperature over time while baking. The bread from this oven is terrific. It's also easy to keep clean -- you squirt the water, turn it on, and it cleans up nicely. I have made several casseroles in our new oven -- they come out cooked all the way through and with nicely browned tops. All in all, I'm really glad we made this purchase. I've even bought my first cookbook and am going to take the plunge into baking my first cake.
