What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand new range doesn't bake (work) Had it installed Wednesday, tried to bake on Thursday and it won't. Apparently the range thinks the door is open (of course it isn't). also the door lock won't lock. Did the self diagnosis and it claims everything is fine. Really dissappointed in LG. Apparently they don't have good quality control. I was considering buying three more appliances, probably should rule out LG for those three.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never go for the looks. I bought this fridge 4 years ago and had problems since day one. Very noisy, bottles rattle inside the compressor was so loud, temp never consistent. broke after a few months of purchased. it was fixed, but it just never performed well. We decided not to get rid of our old fridge because we were always afraid it would die on us. Sure enough, the compressor broke and had to be replaced. LG was nice enough not to charge, however, you don’t expect a very expensive fridge to last only 4 years. Very disspointed. I’m giving one star for the design, I have all LG appliances and do love the style and design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So Disappointed!! I remodeled my kitchen this year and bought this stove. The very first time I tried to cook anything it would shut off while it was preheating. I've had someone out to fix it 6 times, and it still doesn't work. LG makes the serviceman go through replacing one item at a time to see if it works, and if it doesn't, they have the serviceman try the next item to see if that works. I've now been without an oven for 10 months.

What is the recommended and minimum CFM required for a vent hood above this range? I'm not able to use the LG vent hoods, since they don't have extension kits for 10 feet high ceilings.

Asked by: Beaux2
Currently, LG has two Wall Mount Chimney Hoods in its lineup, the LG Studio - 30" Wall Mount Chimney Hood, Model # LSHD3089BD, and the LG Studio - 36" Wall Mount Chimney Hood, Model # LSHD3689BD. The LSHD3089BD has a professional-grade blower that adjusts from 200 to 600 CFM for greater ventilation as well as moisture removal and its W x H x D dimensions are: 29 15/16" x 27" to 48 1/2" x 22 1/16", making it the one that is compatible with the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Slide-In Gas Range with ProBake Convection Oven in Black Stainless Steel, Model # LSG4513BD. The best way to determine what size hood is appropriate for your kitchen, you need to measure the width, length, and height of your kitchen and multiply the measurements to get a cubic feet measurement. Then to find the size of the fan needed, you will need to multiply that cubic feet measurement by the number of air exchanges (15) then divide by 60 (minutes in an hour). That will let you know what minimum CFM is needed for your kitchen. The basic rule of thumb when determining the fan size of a range hood is that it should move a minimum of 100 CFM of air for every 12” of stove width. So if you have a 30” wide stove, you would need a range hood with a fan that moves at least 250 CFM of air, but you should also take into account the size of your kitchen in cubic feet when calculating the size range hood fan needed, since a larger kitchen needs more venting to clear the air than a smaller room. A range hood should be able to exchange the air in the kitchen at least 15 times per hour or every four minutes. ^CP

Is the griddle on LSG4513ST removable and replaceable with a flat grate? I sometimes use very large pots and I don't think it would work with that griddle in the middle.
