What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from User Manual I recommend LG provide a video on my particular double oven gas range as the user manual that came with my range is not clear. However, the ability to contact customer service by phone was helpful. The “Delayed Time Cook” needs improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a GREAT range! Bought this online from Costco to replace my aging range. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Love the dual ovens and maximized cooking area on the burners. Highly recommended!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really like it. We got ours installed about 2 weeks ago and have only used oven features a few times since it's been too hot here. We really like the double oven feature and can't wait to try it out over the holidays. The griddle for the oval center burner on the range isn't that great - at least not for cooking bacon. Grease gets EVERYWHERE. Especially if you use the suggestion of high heat from the user manual. The user manual also indicates it only takes 5 minutes to cook bacon on the griddle. They must have cooked VERY thin bacon. The other thing we don't like is that even though you can silence the beeps of the buttons (which we did immediately), the oven still gives some weird chime when it's done preheating and there is no way to silence that. Any kind of noise from an appliance scares our dog tremendously so this is not good. A request that they put an option to mute that chime in a software/firmware update was met with an unhopeful answer. Our previous oven was a different model and when I silenced the beeps, it silenced EVERYTHING so I know it can be done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very user friendly I bought this stove about 3 weeks ago & it’s an updated model of the one I bought a few years ago. The other stove stayed in my old house, so I was excited to buy this one since I loved the other one so much! This one is even better! I love the backless/slide-in feature, it’s a very clean/sleek look. I also love how easy it is to set the stove. The cast iron grates on top are easily removed since it comes in 3 pieces (4 if you count the griddle on top). I especially love the long burner in the center for using the griddle (no waste of center space!). Also, love their signature blue interior of the stove. This is a well working, beautiful stove/double convection oven. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this Range! I have not had a chance to use each of the features of this range but every feature I have used thus far has exceeded my expectations! I look forward to many years of cooking and baking!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from For this price, should work perfectly. Oven temperatures fluctuate. Tried adjusting the temperature (which, really?! again for this price, should work perfectly!), but still had to keep an eye on the temperature throughout the cooking time and keep adjusting throughout the time. So infuriating when you have a timeline for multiple dishes when things aren’t done in time or overdone. So disappointed in this product. Was told when I bought this this was a double convection oven. LG should stick to tv’s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful & Functional! Purchased this stove only viewing online as no store carries this model. It is beautiful and performs as advertised. I like the knobs - easy to read and very easy to keep clean - so far. The stainless is beyond beautiful, easy to clean and does not show fingerprints. The area under the grates wipes clean without any problems. Still learning all it's many features as only installed in remodeled kitchen 3 weeks ago. Grates are very heavy and sturdy. Baked in both ovens - worked as advertised. However, I could not understand why LG put a sticker on the front of the glass of the upper oven that left a very large and very nasty sticky residue that was difficult to remove. Also do not understand why LG put the Model and Serial number information on a piece of metal that swings down BEHIND the back of the stove. This stove is extremely heavy and will not be pulled out unless necessary. I took photo of serial number information before it was installed. This is a terrible location for a serial number.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast/efficient features with a sleek design It’s been a few weeks using this oven and I’m in love! The burners boil water super fast along with the preheating feature for both upper/lower oven. Both ovens do a great job distributing heat and cooking evenly. My absolute favorite feature is the self cleaning because it uses only mist. I’m able to clean the oven after each use instead of a long arduous task. Perfect for a family with two working parents.

I’m installing a vent hood over this range. What would you recommend for the vent hood CFM rating?

Asked by: Mulmer
Hi Mulmer. The International Residential Code (IRC) says that the says the minimum intermittent exhaust rate for a kitchen is 100 cfm, while the minimum continuous exhaust rate is 25 cfm. The Home Ventilating Institute recommends thinking in terms of at least 100 CFM per linear foot of range for range hoods installed against a wall, and 150 CFM for island vent hoods. In the latter case, the vent hood has to move the air further to get it outside, which explains why you need more power. There are a lot of different types of vent hoods available and for some people, the type that makes the most sense will be decided by your kitchen design. Your kitchen layout will determine how much space you have to work with and how best to fit your oven hood into place. A good rule of thumb is to aim to mount the hood between 24-30 inches above the cooktop, but always read the manufacturer’s recommendations to be sure. The more powerful your range hood, the more effective it will be at its job. If you do a lot of heavy cooking or frying, you should definitely aim for a vent hood that offers a good amount of power. Manufacturers will provide you with a measure of the power to expect from their range hoods in CFMs. For most types of range hoods, the size should be directly related to the surface area of your cooktop. It’s not exactly a requirement that your range hood matches your stovetop in size, but it is generally best that it does so that all the smoke and food particles that drift up get caught in the hood before they get the chance to drift to other parts of your kitchen. The size of the space will dictate how powerful the exhaust hood fan needs to be to clear the air and help prevent strong cooking odors. To determine what your needs are, multiply the kitchen ceiling height by the length and width of the room. This will give you the volume of your kitchen. You can work out how much air a kitchen hood can extract per hour with a little simple math. To determine how much air a particular hood can replace per hour, simply multiply that CFM by 60 (the minutes in one hour). The LG LG SIGNATURE 6.9 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Gas Double Oven Slide-In Range with ProBake Convection®, Model # LUTG4519SN has a width of 29 7/8" and it is recommended that the hood should be at least as wide as the range or cooktop, and preferably 3" longer on either side. The most common widths for range hoods are 30 and 36 inches. You may want to review the LG STUDIO 30" Wall Mount Chimney Hood, MOdel # LSHD3089BD. It has a powerful 600 CFM Blower that adjusts from 200 to 600 CFM...^IFV
