What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs work, doesn’t work like it used to! Initially, it worked very well. Two years into ownership, it doesn’t dissolve detergent pods properly, dishes need to be Re-washed, and the silverware looks like they weren’t washed at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super quiet, learning curve... I am enjoying the new LG dishwasher, and it is super quiet. Dishes are coming out clean. The third rack (very top) has required some learning and getting used to. Would not say that our kids are up to speed yet, but we are trying to use this feature to full benefit.

How do I do only a half load wash on the ldf7774bb? I've tried everything. I downloaded the manual also which wasn't much help. I chose normal cycle then hit the half load button. That lights the sanitize light and/or extra rinse. Not 1/2 load light

Asked by: Kschro
Hello, you should just select the cycle, then press the half load button to toggle through the options and close door to start. If this is not working, please give us a call at 1-800-243-0000. ^AC

What is a "hybrid condensing system" and does it provide circulated air dry without using the heating element? Is there a vent on this machine?

Asked by: bjabel
The Hybrid Drying System for the LG Top Control Dishwasher w/ Height Adjustable 3rd Rack, Model # LDF7774BB is designed to effectively dry dishes without the use of a heating element and use less energy. After all washing and rinsing cycles are complete, the dishwasher heats the dishes with hot water from the final rinse. This water condenses on the dishwasher's cool stainless steel tub and drains away. At the same time, a built-in fan circulates air throughout the dishwasher's interior, speeding up the condensation process. The benefits of this system are that the hybrid drying technology dries dishes more quickly than air drying. Because it dries dishes quickly while they are still hot, it also reduces the number of water spots on glass items. It is recommended using a rinse aid to prevent water droplet spots on dishes and to enhance the drying performance...^IFV

I am having trouble with the soap dispenser not opening all the way.  The soap did not drop out of the dispenser on a few occasions.  I think it is too small and the soap gets stuck.  What soap do you recommend?

Asked by: LG Lifes Good
One of the most frequent causes for a dishwasher not dispensing is that a part in the dispenser is broken or that the spring for the dispenser compartment has detached. That might be why the dispenser door on your LG Top Control Dishwasher w/ Height Adjustable 3rd Rack, Model # LDF7774BB is not opening fully and why when the main control board sends a voltage signal to the detergent dispenser, it does not always open. If a dispenser part is broken and you don’t want to disassemble the detergent dispenser to replace the part, you can just replace the entire dispenser. As for what detergent to use, there are so many detergents available and we do not recommend any specific detergent. Our advise on that is that you only use detergent intended for use with automatic dishwashers...^IFV

Is an installation manual included with the dishwasher?

Asked by: Danzona
Yes. Need to follow carefully. (remove, adjust, replace - order of things) BUT, be sure to raise dishwasher up at least 1 inch before (gently) sliding around kitchen floor. [For the final install it will likely be raised up ~2 inches.] I scratched up my flooring pretty bad. Fortunately, it's on my list of things to replace soon. Pretty easy to level since all leveling adjustments are from front of machine.

Does this model have a heating element to dry the dishes?

Asked by: Chaze
No. Dries very well with it's hot dishes/blower system. 'glasses' rack has good tilt to keep water off coffee mugs.

Can I use Cascade Gel (NOT the Gel Caps but the liquid gel)in my LDF7774BB

I have had trouble with the door of the soap dispenser closing and opening when using powder. The liquid gel works well without using the door on the dispenser.
Asked by: Aftershock
Use only detergent intended for automatic dishwashers. Incorrect detergent may cause the dishwasher to fill with suds during operation. Excess sudsing may reduce wash performance and may cause the dishwasher to leak. DO NOT use hand dish washing detergent in this dishwasher.
