Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heating Element After only 5 years, the heating element stopped working. Dryer would turn on, no problem, but there was no heat. This equipment is only 5 years old.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from unhappy with dryer I have 2 complaints, When using small load timer and then doing a load of perm press next, the dryer will count down faster because the dryer is already heated up. #2, why does small loads stay to inside of drum and come out wrinkled and not dry

white vinegar in LG combo unit

Can I safely use a cup of white vinegar in hot water with no clothes and go through the full cycle in place of Tub Clean —which I can't find?
Asked by: Sweetums
assuming, like me, you bought the set....meaning WASHER and dryer... and if your question is about the WASHER...the answer is YES!! Although vinegar is cheaper than boxed tub cleaner, 'citrus scented' Lemi-Shine has worked very well for it cleans dishwashers. (vinegar stinks up the laundry room/kitchen and leaves white residue)

What does the anti bacterial cycle do and how?

Asked by: Terf
another answer...from a customer with this dryer for 5 when using the 'steam sanitary' option, (fresh water) steam periodically gets shot through the drum; then continues hot air drying to 'sanitize' the entire load...we often use this with newly purchased clothes, wrinkled or smelly from storage, etc.

Does this dryer have a dry cleaning features

Asked by: Leanna62
IF you are referring to ACTUAL dry cleaning (ie: use of naptha, etc) then ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! If you are referring to the 'home dry clean' system where you place items in a zippered bag with a chemically moistened towel for a few hot minutes (to create steam inside the bag) then YES... I have successfully used this 'home dry cleaning' system with my suits, wife's work clothes, even a HUGE stuffed animal whose label said "DO NOT DRY" ... figuring if it disintegrated, it would be contained inside a zippered bag...came out clean but slightly chemically...MUCH better than baby puke (plus the chemical smell wore off quickly...we also 'aired it out' outside for about 2 hours)

How do I dry my shoes in an LG SteamDryer Series DLEX5170W 27" 7.3 cu. ft. Electric Dryer

Asked by: Dryerhelp172
sorry, just saw this while updating my BELOVED 5 year old dryer. I live with 6 women from 4 generations, (yes, I deserve ALL the sympathy you can spare) subsequently there are LOTS!!!! of shoes scattered throughout my house. And the successful system for any washable shoes has been using the 'dryer rack' and 'air dry'....probably had this dryer for 2 years before my logical brain allowed me to even try drying without 'heated air'...but I'll be danged if it doesn't work. Just did this yesterday with 3 pair of granddaughter's sneakers who ran outside in the rain, imitating Peppa Pig by "jumping into muddy puddles". They dried fine & thoroughly....without shrinkage or destruction. ** btw: have used the same system successfully with dirty boots, etc that required handwashing to clean (NOT able to use washing machine).

we purchased both the washer and dryer. They were quiet the first month and both started to make a lot of noise? Also the dryer would dry the clothes

in a short amount of time. The dryer started to take longer to dry and when it stopped the clothes were still slightly damp. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Asked by: candyjj
I have the same issue with the dryer taking forever to dry clothes the dryness sensor when used leaves the clothes damp.  So I use the timer and on heavy high for 60 min- even a small load takes at least 120 min.  The dryer haste has been checked multiple times and is not clogged nor does it leak.  Candyjj- did your issue get resolved?
