white vinegar in LG combo unit
Can I safely use a cup of white vinegar in hot water with no clothes and go through the full cycle in place of Tub Clean —which I can't find?
assuming, like me, you bought the set....meaning WASHER and dryer...
and if your question is about the WASHER...the answer is YES!!
Although vinegar is cheaper than boxed tub cleaner, 'citrus scented'
Lemi-Shine has worked very well for us...plus it cleans dishwashers.
(vinegar stinks up the laundry room/kitchen and leaves white residue)

Can I use dryer softner sheets in the DLGX5171?
We appreciate your interest in this LG dryer. It is not recommended to use any form of fabric softener in this dryer. A fabric softener should be added to the appropriate dispenser cup in the LG WASHING MACHINE, according to the product operational directions.

maximum venting footage
looking for maximum venting footage for our new home being built please.
We appreciate your interest in this electric dryer. We do not have any specifications listed as “Maximum Venting Footage”. Is this request concerning the maximum distance that the venting can travel; or the maximum height the venting can travel; or possibly the square footage of air flow coming from the vent. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for clarification of this matter.

Failure on Drying Cycle Time
I have been having some issue with the dry time on my dryer. I noticed it decrease the drying time in every cycle. The most common cycle cotton/normal that supposed to go at least for 45 min by the time it hits 40min mark it decrease to 19 and then to 6.
I would like to know if there is any solution I can check before calling service.
I check the air ducts are clean and the airflow goes normally.
The dryer has a sensor that is suppose to decipher the amount of humidity in the air while drying. It then adjusts the drying time to be energy efficient and not over dry the clothes. I've had clothes that didn't fully dry when it has stopped early (usually a really large load). If the clothes are getting fully dry, then there is nothing to worry about. If clothes are still damp then it could be a sensor issue. LG doesn't recommend using dryer sheets as it can block the sensor (there's a bounce bar that sticks to the inside of the dryer as an alternative, although I've never tried one). Good luck!

how much room do I need to provide for the venting "hose". Where is it located on the back (mid, low, or top). How close can I get it to the wall?
The vent is located at the bottom of the dryer just left of the middle. It's recommended to use an elbow on the outlet, but you can get by without. An elbow will keep the dryer 7-8 inches from the wall. The outlet hose is 6 inches in diameter, so if you didn't use an elbow you could probably cut an inch or two off of that (just make sure you don't pinch the hose, as this could cause buildup and become a fire hazard).
