Yes, I have had the turn-off problem, but that seems to be gone if you select the slow loading/turn-on method (see large dots filling from left-to-right across TV screen as it loads). Also, smart TV or smart Home theater?- they don't exist! The only painless way to stream is with a Roku, Apple TV, computer or game system.

Since i got the home teather i only watched four movies... since than i turn it on but within 15 secs or less its says "Good Bye'' and that all i get ! i dont know what else to do! if any one has been having this same issue please help !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sound system I bought the LHB976 to complement my 47" LG 3D TV. The unit has a few sound settings (not enough). I chose the setting with emphasizes the bass and got an excellent sound. But the unit does not seem to support DTS surround encoded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great!.. Mostly This more of a complain list for LG designers. For shoppers - this thing is absolutely great! Quality of sound (even without rear speakers, about which later) is amazing. We are in a process of re-watching our video collection just to see it with new totally immersive, mindblowing sound. Even our 17-year old son is watching with us. And if you know teenagers for whom everything is "whatever" you know what it means. Now bad parts: 1. Please integrate it with your own LG TV sets better. I have 55LW5600 (and it was the main reason I chose LG sound system). Why does home theater switch to "optical" input every time I switch input on TV back to cable box? I thought the idea of "SimpleLink" is to be... well, simple. I have home theater and TV connected via HDMI1/ARC but I need to reach for remote every time to switch home theater back to it from optical. Would be nice if unit had either selectable default input or remembered last input. 2. Magic wand remote from TV doesn't work on home theater. It does change volume, mute and power (thank you!) but doesn't work on DVD/Blueray/Home theater menus. 3. Would be nice to have headphones output on home theater. I have wireless ones and would love to have them plugged it permanently. But if I plug them into TV it shuts off all other speakers and there is no output for them on Home Theater. 4. Quality control. My wireless rear speakers receiver was dead on arrival. Customer service is great and I am expecting replacement any day now. But even without them sound is terrific and I would definitely recommend it.

When It came time to buy a new home theatre system for my family room I naturally decided to go with LG again and buy what I understood to be their "flagship" home theatre system. After having it for a month now, I have to say I am dissapointed in what I got. On at least 6 ocaisions I have had the controls lockup to where I had to unplug the unit and then wait for it to reboot. On 2 ocaisions the unit has turned itself off in the middle of a movie. I have let the unit download every update that has been offered hoping that maybe the problems would be cured but no luck yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit, but not wireless This unit has great sound and great "Smart TV" functions. It is a good value for the price. My only complaint is that the website (under specifications) states that it includes 5 wireless speakers. Only the rear speakers are wireless, and even they need to be connected (via speaker wire) to a wireless receiver. Very misleading.

Where can I take the main unit to get fixed? The issue I am having is that it turns on, but nothing would show up on the TV. I tried changing the HDMI cords, different ports, and plugging it into different TV and still no visual.

I recently started havin trouble. With this product. No DVD or blu Ray video output. Now screen flases black every 5 seconds. Any way to fix this or can I still get this unit only. Or another compatible with these features including wireless rear. Help

Disconnecting from wifi

I have been having major issues with my product, specifically now that I have been streaming from my phone through DLNA. My bluray player will randomly disconnect from my wifi while other devices still have good connection, then when trying to reconnect and retype my security password for the 100th time it still will not setup dynamic ip. This has become a huge issue and inconvenience since I bought this unit for its wifi/dlna capabilities. I need this issue resolved if you could please help me with this. Thank you.

It is suggested to set a STATIC IP Address with this player, so that the unit should have no trouble finding a particular access point.
