How to connect to internet

Asked by: Tylerpierce
This player can be connected to a local area network (LAN) via the LAN port on the rear panel. By connecting the unit to a broadband home network, you have access to services such as software updates, BD-LIVE interactivity and streaming services. Please see page 20 in the owner's manual found in the link provided. ^AC http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-BD550

I am not able to listen to Pandora through my BD550 as I was able to before. It just says "unable to connect to the network", but Netflix works fine so I know it's connected.

My DVD isn't playing any blu ray movies what can I do?

Asked by: Deeds123
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. It is recommended to run a lens cleaner through the player to see if this will allow the device to recognize the BluRay discs. If this does not resolve the matter, then the player will likely require service. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to make proper service arrangements.

I'm just trying to update my player so the "error" message doesn't pop up anymore... I can't watch about 98% of my movies, whether they're blu ray or not, it just reads "error". How do I update without an Internet connection?

Asked by: LadyHulk08
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. The last software update provided for this player was released in August 2013. If the version Ver.BD.8.31.370.C is not on your player, the update can be downloaded to a flash drive for manual installation. This file and install instructions can be obtained from our website at http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-BD550#softwareFirmware.
