Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Machine It is a little slow to respond to commands and it hangs up once in a while. When it hangs, you have to turn off the power. But it has been a good machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somebody is confused ... ... and I think it's whoever wrote the description of this product. I've owned an RC897T for a few years now. 1) It does NOT have a digital tuner. In fact, it does not have ANY tuner. 2) You can't use it to stream anything. And 3) BluRay? Um, no. All this is good for (and it's not wildly good), is to digitize a stack of old VHS tapes. In 4x3. You'd need an external tuner to record from the TV. Maybe the wrong description was put with the picture and the RC897T story?

Why does my DVD/vcr combo say it's reading and then it just ejectes the disk? What do I do to fix it vcr works fine

Asked by: Babydoll2015
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this dual recorder device. If the disc ejects after a failed attempt to read, then it could be caused by an obstructed lens. It is suggested to run a lens cleaner through the player. If this does not resolve the matter, then there may be some other problem with the player. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for assistance with this matter.

How do I autoprogram my LG RC897T. I cannot get it to record. It will play discs and tapes but will not record

Asked by: Evelyn148
First you must have the recorder on audio instead of antenna. On your remote locate home button. Press it. Look on screen, you will see it says channel set up, etc.Use right arrow to click it one spot to the right. Press the down arrow down until you get to timed recording. Press ok.In yellow line it will say new, meaning new program. Press down arrow once. You will see recording channel and time information. Use right and left arrows and up and down arrows to make your selections. When done press ok. Then press return button on your remote. Turn off recorder. It should automatically turn on at appropriate tume. Hope this helps. It took me a long time to get the hang of this. But once I got it, it works great .Good Luck. JudithB.
