Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screen Broke after small fall After owning 5 months the screen broke after falling 3 feet. Not very "Military Grade" I was excited to purchase this and switched from a Macbook, but after having it a bit it continued to shut off on me due to "Power supply error" which was frustrating. Battery does not last as long as described. Touch pad is also difficult to use and acts as a right click unless you're completely on the left side, which is not centered. Not worth the price. Tried to call LG for support, but after an hour on hold I gave up. I won't go back to Mac, but going to elsewhere for my next laptop.

What is the maximum amount of RAM this laptop can recognize? I know there are two slots and one is soldered. Can the 2nd slot accept a 16gb stick of RAM?

Hi pavo. The specifications for both the LG gram 15.6” Ultra-Lightweight Touchscreen Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Model # 15Z980-A.AAS7U1 and Model # 15Z980-A.AAS8U1, the hard drive is listed as M.2 SSD and the interface as SATA. The M.2 interface is designed to use either legacy SATA mode or the newer PCI-Express modes but the drive will pick which one to use. One of the slots is labeled as NVMe x 4 meaning that 4 PCIe lanes are supported and the other slot is labeled as NVMe x 2 meaning that 2 PCIe lanes are supported. When an NVMe type SSD is connected, NVMe command will be used...^IFV

IS the empty M.2 slot NVMe or SATA III

The hard drive for the LG gram 15.6” Ultra-Lightweight Touchscreen Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Model # 15Z980-A.AAS7U1 is listed in its specifications as M.2 SSD and the interface is listed as SATA. The M.2 interface is designed to use either legacy SATA mode or the newer PCI-Express modes but the drive will pick which one to use. It has two M.2 slots and one is labeled as NVMe x 4 and the other as NVMe x 2. If you connect an NVMe SSD to the slots the NVMe SSD will work at 4 GB or 2 GB and NVMe command will be used...^IFV

Is there an LG 14z980 model with an i7 processor WITHOUT the touchscreen? Would love an i7 processor however I’m not a fan of touchscreens.
