Rated 1 out of 5 by from Developed permanent pink border around whole scree I bought this monitor 3 years and 8 months ago and while the display is ultra-crisp and likable due to MacOS integration, the display developed a permanent pink border that won't go away. I decided to upgrade to the 27" hope it lasts longer!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LG don't support reparations. The display make my macbook freeze, after a research by the LG repair service I get to hear that the usb-c connection is broken and LG don't make spare parts for this model. After 4 years the display is for te trash because LG make's there products so that even a simple problem as a usb-c connector cant be repaired.

Hi, does this monitor have an input list for multiple devices in it's menu, in case I want to connect my iMac and my Xbox One X at the same time and switch between the 2, if so, would they both be displaying 4K resolution? Thanks.

Can this monitor be used in Europe without a power converter? I'm assuming this is the case because the specs say 100-240V, but I'd like to know for sure before I move.

Asked by: Lizzzzz
HI Lizzzzz. The LG 22" Class UltraFine™ 4K IPS LED Monitor (21.5" Diagonal), Model # 22MKD4KA has a power rating of 100 - 240 V~ 50/60 Hz 1.4 A, so you will not need a step-down converter to use it abroad. Depending on where in Europe you move to, you will need an adapter for the plug on the monitor's power cord to fit into the electrical sockets they use since they use different types of sockets from those used in the U.S...^IFV

I installed the LG Screen Manager today from the App store, and updated the firmware of the display. However I don't have the "screen split" tab/functionality in the LG Screen Manager. Is this expected? Is there a missing step to set this up?

Asked by: emirpprime
The LG Screen Manager has been optimized for MacOS to provide a variety of multi-screen options and should enable you to automatically divide the screen on the LG 22" Class UltraFine™ 4K IPS LED Monitor (21.5" Diagonal), Model # 22MD4KA-B into two or four frames according to your specific needs. Regrettably, we are not familiar with which app store you downloaded the software from. There should be a download link on the monitor's support page on our site. You may want to download the software from there. The U.K. site may be different from that in the U.S. and if you need assistance, please contact the Support Center in the U.K., for assistance...^IFV

Does the ambient light sensor work at all? I have been unable to find any report of its usage and it does not work for me in Sierra. Can you specify a combination of Mac and MacOS where it can actually be used to automatically adjust the brightness?

Asked by: Lee3
The Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) should work fine. To find how it works, open System Preferences and select Displays. Enable "Automatically adjust brightness" and the computer will use the ambient light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness. You can also check if Mac OS is updated. The ALS operates in accordance with Mac OS and some Mac OS doesn’t support the display ALS. If all mentioned above don't work, try to place your hand on the ambient light sensor and check if your screen will turn black. If not, then the ambient light sensor might not be working. ^AC
